19. Glimpse of past

Ranvijay's point of view

As per decided the meeting with the leader of political party was arranged in garden area. I was waiting.

My advisor Surjeet had told me already the name of that leader as mr. Palashsen. I was expecting him to arrive at the meeting with his formal party team.

But I got to know from the gate keeper that he had arrived with his secretary alone. That irked me. But I kept a calm face.

Once palashsen and his secretary were in front of me, I welcomed them. After discussing a lot of random things he came to the main topic.

Palashsen- " my secretary told me Yuvraj, that you want my support infront of the royal counsel of jaigadh. I want to know why you want this support.

I was skeptical for his enquiry but I decided to explain, " The royal court have 16 rebels out of 40 court ministers who want to overthrow Royal family of jaigadh. But still i have 24 ministers dedicated towards my family only. This wont be difficult to end this rebellion. But I want to creat a permanent solution to this problem."

No one knew the actual number of ministers dedicated to our royal family. I had taken a time of week to convince the ministers about supporting our royal family. Now that majority were with us.

palashsen now seemed interested in my talkings, I smiled and continued.," With your help, If I prove to royal counsel about my influence in the jaigadh's political situations, I will win my battle. And if royal counsel supports me infront of royal court, then in future no one will dare to stand up to my family. "

Palashsen- " and what is there for my benefit? "

Ranvijay- " if people of jaigadh know that their Yuvraj is supporting your party, then I think you can imagine that it will help you in upcoming elections. "

With this palashsen was convinced. He nodded. And we decided to support eachother. After our meeting, he left.

I also called it a day. And I returned to my suite.

But I don't know what but I remembered something. I came running to my jeep. And drove off toward the fields. I jumped out of the jeep only to run towards my yaar, my friend, my maxie... as I stood there, I saw maxie.

All of these years have passed and how strong he grew up to become. He was all tall and strong stallion now. I stared into his black irises. He also looked into my eyes and a happy neigh came.

He recognized me. And my friend was back to me. It didn't take me more than an hour to get along with maximus after all these years. I climbed on his back and started riding.

After an hour or two, I saw raghu kaka coming towards us. I quickly climbed off and ran towards raghu kaka. He had grown old. His black hair were turning silver. I hugged him. And he broke into tears hugging me. "Kawar sa, all these years this fields, your maximus was so alone. Now you came back, It seems as if life came back. " I smiled at him.

After some time as we settled in the stable, he was telling me what all happened when I was away.

Raghu kaka- "you should have seen this arrogant maximus when he used to show me tantrums. He never lets anyone ride him except for you kawar sa. Even he refused to eat from anyother person. Initially maximus never ate from my hands. He was waiting for you kawar sa."

And listening to his name, maximus neighed and stood just besides me towering me, as if he stands there to protect me. I laughed.

Raghu kaka- " he never ate anything from anyone. I also had to struggle a lot to feed him. But strange thing happened, when we were on walk the other day , a week ago. A girl came infront of maximus suddenly. I was startled. I thought maximus will get mad as she suddenly popped in front. But she stared at maximus blankly and offered an apple to him. Maximus sniffed her hair and ate that apple without any tantrums. kawar sa, now that you are back, you could take him on rides... "
We laughed and left together to palace.

Now that destiny was laying the tracks to bring two childhood sweethearts infront of each other, they seemed oblivious.
