8. Weekend

Rudrayani's point of view

It's the weekend already. I think it's really boring without the school. Even playing with the toys is not helping... Maasa has strictly told me to rest. She has said that rest is important so that I could recover fast. I know I should rest. But I am not able to. Even sleeping under duvet late till afternoon is not helping. I don't know what is wrong with me. Never till now have I experienced this loneliness.

I was sure, I will get solution to my problem from dadisa.
I peeped into her study. There she was. One silver colored strand of silver hair adorned her bun. She always wears these pearl necklaces. And her sari is always so perfect, without any stain or crease. I love her golden specs, it rests gently on her nose. She looks so busy with all piles of files.

"If you're done observing me, you can come in my princess..." with that dadisa looked at me lovingly, adjusting her specs. I went to her running. Curling my arms around her neck I asked her, " why I am not liking anything today. Even I couldn't sleep. Even playing with all the toys is not helping dadisa. What to do ? Nothing is interesting at home. I wish I was at school..."

With this dadisa smiled and asked "You and school ? Are you really wishing to be at school? Or you want to be with your bestfriend? "
"Of course, I want to be with my bestfriend. You know dadisa, since I have got this cut, he has not left my side for a minute. He always stays around listening to me all the time. And I also told him about the paintings I make and ..."
Dadisa, "Ok ok. So why don't you go and visit Ranvijay..?"
Rudrayani, " wow ! can I really go to his house?"
Listening this dadisa called on intercom, "send himmat in my study." And putting the phone down she said, "yes, my princess can go wherever she wants. Now go, get ready, himmat will take you Ranvijay's palace. And be careful. Don't get hurt darling."

And in no time I was on my way to Ranvijay's palace. Maasa had informed aunty Vijaya about my arrival. I was lost in my thought then himmat kaka broke my thought bubble saying,
" princess, we are here."
I quickly got off from car. Aunty Vijaya and Rakshu stood at the palace gate to welcome me.
Rakshu dragged me inside, "come on Rudra di.. I have taken all my teady bears and dolls out. Let's go and play !" Following her, I once turned back to get permission from aunty Vijaya. She nodded smiling. Then she was now talking to himmat kaka.

Once we reached in rakshu's room, I saw a tons of teady bears n a whole Barbie world. I stepped inside. And she was showing me her favorite teady. She had already arranged a tea party set up. I went and sat on the chair. She excitedly put the tea set on table.
Rakshu, "how many sugar cubes di?"
I replied, "two sugar cubes please"
She enacted as if she added sugar cubes and stirred. And handed me the cup. I also enacted to take a sip.
"Wow!.. what a lovely cup of tea!.. this so good Rakshu! "
She seemed so happy that I was playing along with her.
Rakshu, "you know dada has played with me. But never ever he said he liked my tea. You are the first one to praise me for my tea.."

That made me laugh. And aunty Vijaya entered and a maid followed her with plate full of snacks.
"Aunty Vijaya, won't Ranvijay also be joining us for snacks? " I asked.
"Oh.. I forgot to tell you di, dada is not home. He left early morning for the horse field, even before your maasa called." Raksha told.
Vijaya "yes beta, Ranvijay was so restless whole night. So he left for the fields as soon as sun has risen. We wanted to inform him about your arrival but the phone in the horse stable is dead. Maybe last night rainstorms broke the telephone wires. "
"Can I go and visit him on the field itself? " I asked.

"But beta, you just got hurt. What if you get hurt on field once again?" Asked aunty Vijaya worried.
"Maasa, why worry, when dada is there. He will not let anything happen to Rudra di." That made aunty Vijaya laugh. She nodded in agreement.

Rakshu further added, " ok Rudra di, you can go but come back soon with dada. We will play snake and ladder together. "
Aunty Vijaya called Raghu kaka to take me to fields. On our way, I wondered, it's already one'o clock in the afternoon, why is Ranvijay still practicing? Doesn't he get tired?

And there I saw, Ranvijay was practicing his fencing. He was so engrossed he didn't even notice me entering in field. This scorching sun rays are also not capable of stopping this prince from practicing.. what am I gonna do with this stubborn prince.
