Merida rode along her boat looking along the horizon at a snowy island she was to soon arrive at.
Her boat grazed the snow lightly before she quickly jumped off the boat and continued walking along the snow her footsteps leaving marks as she continued through the snow.
Merida stopped looked at the mountain in front of her and continued walking towards it.
Merida climbed along the mountain as her hands gripped the small parts of the mountain that stuck out, straying from the usual pattern of smoothness. Her hands reddened as she huffed continuing to climb, freezing cold air being seen every time she breathed.
Seeing a nice space on the mountain she pulled herself up and looked around, in front of her she saw a dragon that she had never seen before.
The dragon had horns along with purple fur on its body, it's eyes were a beautiful amber and it's wings both had one sharp talon on the tip of it.
The dragon growled at Merida and she quickly backed up but the mountains end was right behind her.The dragon quickly jumped towards her and roared in her face. Merida quickly jumped up and ran away from the edge of the mountain but tripped and fell and the dragon just went over to her again and roared but now had its dragon fire ready to shoot.
Merida quickly grabbed a fish from her bag and tried to give it to the dragon, the dragon quickly snatched it from her and swallowed the fish whole.
The dragon seemed to change its attitude somewhat but was still on guard, Merida extended another fish to the dragon and it once again ate it.
This charade seemed to continue on forever until Merida no longer had any fish, the dragon seemed much more comfortable now and Merida extended her hand as a friendly gesture.
Then to Merida's surprise the dragon put its nose to her hand and closed its eyes, Merida didn't move and so the two of them stayed in this position for a couple of second before the dragon opened its eyes.
Merida got up and walked on the left side of the dragon touching its fur slightly, then slightly brushing her hand along the horns. The dragons eyes seemed to follow Merida as she admired its features.
Merida walked back to the dragon face and the two met each other's eyes, then Merida got the craziest idea in the world.
Merida slowly walked on the left side of the dragon and put two hand on its upper back slowly, the dragon noticed but didn't emit an upset reaction so Merida continued. She sort of propped her body up using her two hands and swung her left leg over the dragon, the dragon quickly turned its head towards her and she sort of froze for a second but continued to straighten herself out and then she was just sitting on top of this big dragon.
She stayed there for a minute or two but then the dragons wings started to wiggle slightly and Merida put her hands down on the dragon again and her body stiffened slightly. Then out of nowhere the dragon took off into the air.
"Ahhh!" Merida yelled trying to make sure she didn't fall off.
Then the dragon started gliding along the freezing cold air smoothly, the winds blowing Merida's curls across her face as she shivered slightly.
"This is... awesome..." Merida said in awe looking down at the snowy island were her footprints could no longer be seen.
The dragon flew down and landed on the snow smoothly, the cold engulfing Merida as she was brought back to earth. Merida looked around her as the wind blew her hair and snow could be seen on her orange locks. "Awesome..." Merida said falling back into the snow and looking up as she quickly saw the dragon looking down at her blocking her view.
