Merida and Rueben hid behind the clouds in the dark night sky staring down at the dragons stuck in cages who's roars could be heard along with the indistinct chatter of dragon hunters.
Ruebens purple fur blended in with the night sky as Merida and Rueben continued looking at the ships filled with cages.

"Let's go." Merida said and Rueben dove down super fast firing at the ships. The hunters started firing arrows at Rueben and Merida did the same right back to them shooting her arrows at them.

Rueben got closer to the boat and Merida jumped off her dragon onto the ship and grabbed an axe from behind her and charged at the hunters. One hunter shot an arrow at Meridas face but she held the axe in front of her to block it before knocking the hunter upside the head. Another hunter came up behind Merida with a mace but Rueben shot the mace out of his hand and now only had one blast left.

Merida jumped up in the air and swung the axe in a circle knocking all the hunters down onto the ground and then ran to the cages.

Rueben landed next to Merida and used her dragon fire to shoot the lock off the cage that a nadder was in. Merida went below deck to the other cages that were holding multiple dragons in them.

Merida pulled on the chains that lined the ceiling and the cages opened releasing the dragons and they all flew up into the air. Rueben came below deck to join Merida and she hopped on Rueben and she flapped her wings taking off with Merida into the sky.

*Time skip*

Merida and Rueben arrived at the snowy island that was there home and flew up into a small cave.

"Well that was fun, so what's for dinner? Fish?" Merida asked and Rueben gave a dragon grumble. "Fish it is then." Merida said pulling a raw fish from a sack that was up against the wall.

Rueben took the fish from Meridas hand and swallowed it happily before letting out a happy grumble. Merida chuckled at the happy dragon and grabbed another fish from the sack and started up a fire.

"Today was a good day, wasn't it Rueben?" Merida said. Her dragon gave a dragon noise that indicated she agreed with her rider. "So guess there's other riders out there, and what's with that 'dragon eye' is it some eyeball?" Merida said and her dragon chuckled.
Merida just continued on cooking her fish until it's was finished and then she ate it.

"Goodnight Rueben." Merida said laying down and her dragon gave a grumble before laying down herself.
