"Mommy, look!" Kion yelled as he bounced around the waterhole, occasionally dipping his paws in the water and splashing the liquid around, "Mommy, are you watching?" the little cub yelled, excitedly looking towards his mother; who was laid not too far away watching him with a smile.

"Yes, I'm watching Kion, don't worry," Fadia responded, chuckling as she continued to watch her son enjoy the day. It was nice to get him out of the den finally; she thought she would never get Akida to agree to let him out, but she was glad the leader had finally given her son a chance; she watched Kion begin to get back into the water he was splashing around enjoying every moment "Be careful, and remember don't go too deep now."

"I won't, I promise, mommy," Kion said, continuing to splash water everywhere; the little cub was drenched from head to paw, but he didn't care; he was having too much fun to care.

Fadia continued to lie in the shade, enjoying watching her son; she watched as the young cubs splashing soon changed to him dipping his face in and out of the water giggling every time he resurfaced, "Sweetie, don't stay under too long," Fadia called as Kion began to take longer and longer to come up for air.

"But mommy, it's fun!" Kion said, letting a groan out in protest as he stopped his game.

"I know, sweetie, but just don't hurt yourself," Fadia said, she didn't want to ruin his fun, but she couldn't help feeling a little protective; especially since this was their first time out of the den together, "why don't you come over here and have a little break," Fadia suggested tapping her paw down next to her calling Kion over to sit.

"Okay, but only for a second," Kion replied as he wandered over to his mother and sat down, "I'm happy!" Kion chirped as he looked at his mother with a big smile.

"I can see that, and I'm glad you're enjoying your day," Fadia said, sitting up to join her cub; she looked at his soaked fur and chuckled "he's braver than me, that's for sure!" the cheetah thought to herself she would never get in the water that's one thing she was sure of, "how about soon we go get something to eat?" Fadia suggested she thought it would be nice to bring Kion along on a hunt and teach him a thing or two for when he was older.

"I get to go hunting with you!" Kion exclaimed, jumping to his paws, excitement filling him.

"yes, you do, but you only observe. Understood?" Fadia said, trying to be stern as to show Kion this wasn't just some game.

"Yes, mommy, I understand," Kion replied; this day was just getting better and better for him; he couldn't wait to see his mother in action; he hoped soon he'd get to join in and help her.

"Good, now let's take a minute to rest up a little before we go," Fadia said as she laid herself back down; she opened her paws for Kion to come join her, but the little cub didn't move.

"But I want to play still!" Kion protested, looking at his mother his eyes were as wide as he could get them; she could see in his eyes that he was trying his best to look as cute as he possibly could so she would allow him more time to play. She let out a chuckle as she watched her cub begin to put on a massive grin she could see right through his little plan, "Please!" he begged through his teeth, hoping his mother would agree.

"Kion, you'll need rest if you want to come with me," Fadia said, trying to reason with her son; she knew how hard it could sometimes be to find prey; she could be gone hours if it wasn't the right day and she definitely didn't want to drag her cub all about the Savanna especially if he had tired himself out.

"But, mommy, I'm not ready to rest!" Kion groaned, wanting to continue the fun, "I'm not tired; I want to explore!" Kion looked out into the horizon just like Fuli had the day previous. To him, the only world he had ever seen for months was that of a den now, he had seen so much more, and it excited him he couldn't keep himself still; he wanted to see so much he didn't want to rest.
