Chapter Ten

I don't know how long I slept, but when I woke up there were clothes laid out for me on the bed. I hopped in the shower and threw on the shirt and skirt before walking out of the bedroom. Sukuna said to come find him...but I never even had the chance to explore his house before...so I decided to just start with his throne room since I knew where that was.

Walking up to the huge double doors, I pressed my ear against it to hear if anyone was in there. I didn't hear anything so I turned around to look elsewhere. Once I turned around I bumped into someone...someone who wasn't wearing a shirt. I remembered Sukuna had said to be careful when wandering...I quickly closed my eyes and apologized. "I'm so sorry! I didn't hear anyone walk up behind me!"

Fingers traced my jaw and lifted my chin up. "Open your eyes kitten, it's only me." I relaxed at the sound of Sukuna's voice and slowly opened my eyes. Relief washed over me, thank God it hadn't been something, or someone more dangerous. "What's got you so silent, hmmm?" He smirked at me.

"I was just relieved that it was you and not someone or something more dangerous." Even though I had thought the words...it didn't hit me until I said them out loud. "Oh God..." My eyes widened at my own stupidity. I just told the king of CURSES that he wasn't dangerous. Sukuna's smirk got even wider, he looked heavily amused.

He backed me into a wall, placing a hand on each side of my head, tilting my face up towards him, leaning in so he could look directly into my eyes. "Have I been too soft on you that you forget who I am?" His eyes followed my jaw line as his thumb traced over my bottom lip. "You're bold if you don't fear me, especially in your fragile...human state."

I could feel my heartbeat thumping in my chest, if it wasn't for the wall behind me I would have fallen to the floor. I had a few options with how to go forward....and I decided to take the risky one. I stood up as tall as I could, still leaning against the wall and I met his gaze head on. " If I were as fragile a human as everyone else, you wouldn't have chosen me to be your queen." That came out a lot more confident than I was feeling. I held my breath as Sukuna just stared at me.

"Hahahaha." He let out a laugh as his face lit up. "You're stronger than I gave you credit for kitten." He backed away just enough to give me some breathing room before he ruffled my hair. "If you can stand up to me then you'll do just fine against anything you come across here." His eyes travelled down my body appreciatively. "Although I have a hard time wanting to pull you into my domain for punishment while you're wearing an outfit like that." I felt the heat creep up my neck to my face as I remembered what I was wearing. " It makes me want to punish you for a different sort of pleasure." He winked at me before slipping an arm around my shoulders and waist while leading me down a hallway. "Now it's time for your surprise."

He opened the door into a huge and beautifully decorated...kitchen. I was a little confused at first. I turned my head to look up at him. "You looked so relaxed while you were baking in your grandma's bakery. I want you to feel at home here, so I figured this would help." He shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal.

I stared up at him. I had simped for him before I knew he was real...and obviously I was attracted to him, but this feeling in my chest was new...it was a warmth that spread through my body, but it was soft and comforting. Not like the heat he made me feel when he was teasing me.

I took a few steps forward and stared around the room. "Thank you Sukuna." I walked around the room and looked in the cupboards, they were fully stocked, everything I would ever need to make literally anything was here. I was so excited! I turned around and walked up to Sukuna, looking into his eyes before I went on my tip toes to kiss him. It was a soft kiss, another way for me to say thank you.

He looked surprised at first, i guess I've never made a move without him initiating before. I just stood there smiling at him as he stared at me. I watched his expression change from surprise to amusement. He shook his head at me while smiling. "You're something else kitten." His face came closer to mine as he parted my lips with his tongue, the kiss felt like I was his first drink of water after a week in the dessert. He pulled away slowly, seeing the dazed look in my eyes. "You can show me how much you appreciate it later tonight." He whispered in my ear. Turning me around and landing a huge slap on my ass, he chuckled. " But for now you should be in your element." He turned and walked out the door, closing it behind him.

I rubbed my ass where he had slapped me with one hand. "Damn Sukuna, that actually hurt." I muttered to myself as I rolled my eyes and giggled. But I had a big job ahead of me....with all these ingredients I could make whatever I wanted, and I was gonna make something AMAZING!
