Sorry that I haven't been updating for awhile! Life got busy and I wasn't able too, BUT I'll try my best to update more often! Enjoy the chapter!
------------------------------------------------------I woke up to my grandma staring down at me. I was back in my room at my parents. Blinking a few times to get used to the sun streaming in through the window, I slowly sat up in bed. "Good morning Y/N!" She grabbed my hand and practically started dragging me down the stairs. "We have a big day ahead of us so you need to eat a big breakfast!"
My eyes widened as I stepped into the kitchen, there were blueberry muffins, pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, toast, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, and french toast. I sat down at the island as grandma piled a plate high with food and set it in front of me along with a big glass of orange juice.
"Graduation is tomorrow dearie, we have to pick up your dress and shoes, double check on your hair appointment, get your nails done, and tie up any loose ends." Grandma talked as she bustled around the kitchen, never sitting down for a break. "Is your boyfriend going to be coming?"
I almost choked on my orange juice when she asked, I wasn't used to people talking about Sukuna as my boyfriend...but I guess that's what he told her at the bakery that one day. I just shrugged. "I forgot to ask him, I don't know if he even knows that it's tomorrow."
"Tsk. You guys were probably too busy with 'other activities' to talk about it." Casually looking over at me with a sly look as she said it. Of course I knew what she was implying, and I felt my face start to turn red.
"I.....its not like that grandma! I spent the weekend baking there!" I stammered as she chuckled, putting away the last of the leftovers, she grabbed her purse off the counter and shuffled to the door.
"Well come on dearie, we have a busy day!" She ushered me out the door and into her SUV. I barely had time to slip on my shoes. She was a tiny woman but when she wanted you to go somewhere, you went.
Six hours and what felt like a hundred stores and salons later, we had my dress, my nails were done and we were just getting back home. I was exhausted as I flopped onto the couch after placing my dress across the back of a recliner. It was only six in the evening, but I was ready for bed.
"Make sure you hang your dress up before falling asleep dearie! I'll be here at 8 am to pick you up for your hair appointment." Placing a kiss on my forehead before she walked out the door to go home. "Don't stay up all night!" She yelled as she walked through the front door.
"Ughhhh" Groaning, I rolled off the couch and grabbed my dress before heading upstairs. Gently hanging it up in the closet, I admired the soft silky fabric. It was a pale pink that shimmered in the sun. I didn't usually like wearing dresses, but I had fallen in love with this one as soon as I saw it.
Closing my closet door I headed downstairs to grab some leftovers from this morning before heading to bed. It would be another busy day and grandma would have a lot to say to me if she had to cover up dark circles under my eyes.
It was quiet in the house as I made my way to the kitchen. Both my parents were on business trips and they wouldn't be home for another week, but I enjoyed the quiet. I made sure the front and back doors were locked before I headed upstairs with a plate full of pancakes and blueberry syrup. Maybe I could fit in some anime before going to bed, it was still fairly early after all.
I woke up to my alarm going off at 7 am, I stumbled out of bed and threw on a t-shirt and shorts before brushing my teeth and heading down to the kitchen for some coffee. I grabbed a muffin too because I knew I wouldn't have time to eat while we were out.
Lost in thought, I didn't even notice when grandma came up behind me. "What's got you so preoccupied dearie?" She smiled at me as she once again ushered me out the front door.
"I was just thinking how it doesn't feel real that I'm actually done with school now...I mean...it just hasn't sunk in yet." I looked over at grandma as we settled in her SUV and headed to the hair salon. "Is it normal to feel nervous?"
"It's pretty much been your whole life up until now, being in school. It's normal to feel a little out of place and uncertain with life now. But you know your parents and I are always here for you, and we support whatever you decide to do." She patted my hand as we drove in silence the rest if the way.
The morning passed in a blur as I had my hair done at the salon and as grandma did my makeup when we got home. Slipping into the silky, floor length dress, I stared at myself in the mirror...I never wore dresses, and I rarely wore heels. I just hoped I wouldn't fall walking up to get my diploma.
"Y/N! It's time to go! " Grandma yelled up the stairs. With one last look in the mirror I carefully made my way down the stairs. Just as we were about to leave, there was a knock on the door. Grandma opened it to find a VERY handsome and well dressed Sukuna standing in front of us...even with heels on I still had to look up to see his face.
He looked me up and down slowly as a smirk spread across his face. Turning to my grandma, he gave a little bow. "It looks like I caught you at the right time. Would I be able to accompany you beautiful ladies to Y/N's graduation?"
"What a sly charmer you are." My grandma laughed. "I can see why Y/N has taken a liking to you. Of course you can come, but we mustn't dilly dally." She ushered Sukuna to her car like she would a small boy who had run off. I couldn't help but giggle at the sight.
I couldn't take my eyes off him though, he was wearing a pair of well fit black dress pants and a white satin dress shirt that wasn't fully buttoned all the way..."Let's go dearie! Sukuna is already in the car, there's nothing but trees for you to stare at standing out there." I blushed at being caught and hurried over to climb in the car.
Just like that, we were on our way to close another chapter of my life.
