The bell chimed softly in the late afternoon as two people entered, Yasuko made his way to their table, his customer pleasing smile plastered on his face. Two Uchiha sat across from each other with their stoic faces, one less than the other. The younger Uchiha, Sasuke, has a twisted scowl on his face that could only be considered a pout. All of them, besides Shisui were a pain to deal with, Yasuko was sure that everyone thought so. But, they were loyal and tipped well.

"Hello, what would you like to order today?" he asked.

"Hn, the usual."

Yasuko nodded, "It'll be ready soon."

The sitting area was mostly empty, it was a peaceful afternoon on a cloudy Sunday. Sunday's were the most relaxed day of the week. Filled with light reading, cake orders and with little customers. However, the amount of customers was hitting a suspicious rate. The numbers seemed to be dwindling. Anzu too knew it, her owl-like eyes peered through into the sitting area, where only four customers were seated.

"Is it...?"

"It's them."

The bakery's numbers always fell short whenever the dango shop had sales, or anything else. Only the regulars came, despite the obvious temptation of delicious dango. That also included the two Uchiha.

"The Uchiha regulars want their usual," Yasuko said.

"I'll add a little extra for them," Kaa-san said

"You favour them too much," he said in annoyance.

"Tsk, tsk. The oldest is the Uchiha heir, and he's been coming for a very long time."

Yasuko said nothing as he took the tray of teas from his Kaa-san and made his way to the table. Tea was a complimentary for all purchases about five dollars with five available options to choose from. However, anyone who wanted a different tea or other beverage would have to buy it separately. It was Yasuko who came up with the idea, quickly it became a hit that reeled in new customers and brought back the ones that were starting to fade away.

While approaching the Uchiha's, he stalled his steps while observing the tired heir. His shoulders were holding too much, it was easy to see at least to Yasuko. How other's didn't was a mystery. The dark bangs, droopy shoulders and prominent frown were right in front of their face. Maybe it didn't help that all their clan carried similar traits.

Even his voice reflected an internal turmoil, "Thank you, Yasuko-san."

"It's my pleasure," he said, with a bow of his head. Lingering only a few moments before he waved him over.

Yasuko pulled up a chair and sat in between the brothers. Itachi's shoulders were tense but he looked at him with a sort of fierce determination he wasn't sure how to place, "I'm going to be going on a mission soon, my brother needs someone to keep him entertained. Would you be okay if he comes and bothers you for a few hours everyday?"

"Of course not," Yasuko said with an internal sigh, he doubted that would end up happening, the young Uchiha heir almost seemed to despise him, "I'm free most of the day, but I do have schoolwork to do so if you like to read or study, I wouldn't mind if you joined me."

"Do I have to?" Sasuke said, looking at his brother with a pleading look.

"My kaa-san makes really good lunches with tomatoes, you can also use the backyard of the house to train," Yasuko said with a nod, in an almost bribery way. Maybe they would hold a Uchiha celebration here if both members of the main clan took a liking to the bakery.

"It would be good for you to make friends, otouto. Yasuko-san is two years older than you, so treat him with respect," Itachi said, his voice strict.

They left not too long after, with Itachi's younger brother unaware, he slipped Yasuko a note with a somber nod. Things like this never turned out well, but he reluctantly took it with a smile. Maybe Sasuke could be convinced to hold his birthday party at the bakery, that might be one way to gather all of the Uchiha's good grace, or rather their loyalty and money. The brown haired boy would gladly give up some of his free time to spend time with Itachi's snotty brother in return for solidifying an unspoken alliance with them. Becoming a clan's go-to bakery was a necessity for getting recognised as a small bakery. He only opened the slip of paper once the two were out of sight.

'My mission will lead to an absence of my presence with my Otouto, therefore leaving him with no one. His attitude may be harsh, but it's easy to see he has already taken a liking to yourself and your kaa-san. Please take care of him in my absence. - Itachi.'

The message striked Yasuko as odd, "no one" was a very specific word. Lonely may be a better descriptor seeing as Sasuke had the whole clan with him despite not having his brother. Doubt settled into the young boy's stomach, the heir of the Uchiha clan would surely be thoughtful in his wording as he understood the effect words had on people. A misstep seemed unlikely.. And a big one like this that insinuates something about the clan. A fatal move if considered a threat or a dark implication. Yasuko could only hope from the bottom of his heart that this was only a miswording from a tired clan heir.
