Sasuke stood at the door to Yasuko's house, unaware that it was empty as the brown haired boy had just finished comforting an unidentified girl. His scowl grew deeper at every passing second that he waited until said boy showed up, bags in hand. The long sleeve shirt he wore looked dishevelled and his hair a mess. Yasuko let out a sigh, feeling as tired as he looked.

"Sasuke-san? What brings you here," he asked, looking at the Uchiha who had already come yesterday to the house.

"Hn. I was bored," he said.

"Ah well next time, you can go into the backyard right away. Even if we're not home," Yasuko said, unlocking the door while balancing all the bags.

"...My okaasan always told me never to do that," he mumbled and followed the older boy into the house. "Why the bags?"

"I bought some snacks for you and Naruto-kun, who is another little friend of mine. I also bought you some more ninja things," Yasuko said.

He unpacked the bag that he had bought from the weapon store. There were kunai, shuriken, a target, senbon and chakra nature paper. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to buy for a ninja in training but went off what Sasuke usually brought to his house which was weapons. The backyard needed a new target and according to the store owner the paper can help with ninja training. Yasuko wasn't sure how it worked though.

"Who?" Sasuke asked stoically.

"He's someone that my kaachan wants me to help, he's your age so I'll introduce you. He could be your training partner," Yasuko said, playing to the young boy's feelings of wanting to get stronger.

"Hn. Maybe," he said. "What's that?"

"Chakra paper, I thought you might know how to use it. The store owner said that it helps to find ninja's chakra nature which I'm not sure if you've done before, so I bought it anyway," Yasuko said and handed the Uchiha all the items.

"I haven't, I heard about it before," he said, his eyes sparkling with life that Yasuko only saw very rarely.

"Well, let's try it out!"

Yasuko abandoned the rest of the bags to pull Sasuke over to the backyard, he walked with a spring to his step. It wasn't often that he was able to experience something with the young boy that he had never done before, it was a surprise that the chakra paper was new to him. It was worth the money, Yasuko thought.

"I'm not sure how it works, but I trust you can figure it out," Yasuko said while handing him one of the pieces of paper.

Sasuke nodded and took the paper in his hand with gentle fingers to prevent it from ruining it. It felt like normal paper, it had no special qualities to it. When he was younger, his cousin Shisui had done it while he and that man had watched, it was a vivid memory. His cousin had explained it to him as well, for when he was old enough to do it. He focused on the paper in his hand, ignoring the sound of the wind fluttering by and the idle chatter of nearby people and channelled his chakra into it. Yasuko and Sasuke watched as the paper crinkled in an anti-climatic way.

"Oh! The man had said that means lightning," Yasuko cheered, rushing over to view it in more detail. "That's so cool!"

"Hn, I guess I don't have an affinity for fire," Sasuke grunted.

"Affinity?" Yasuko asked.

"Everyone has an affinity to one or more chakra nature," Sasuke explained, "but they don't need an affinity to be able to perform techniques from the chakra natures."

"Wow, you're so smart, Sasuke-san. That's why you're able to do fire if you don't have an affinity!" Yasuki said, a genuine smile working it's way onto his face. No matter what, learning about anything to do with ninja's was fascinating to him.

"It's because I'm an Uchiha," he said proudly.

"I'm not sure what rank they are, but there are some lightning release techniques in my otousama library so feel free to look at them. Although I'm not sure if I'm suppose to be letting you have access to them. My kaachan didn't say anything when I told her, which means she didn't mind," Yasuko said, shrugging his shoulders. "Just don't practice them so you don't burn the house down or strike something or someone with lightning. You need a sensei for that or else it could be dangerous."

"Hn."
