Two Worlds

"Aimi! Where is that girl?" A beautiful woman asked out loud wearing a leather outfit that she had customized with Silver black scales from a Silver Rathalos lining it with gold scales from a golden Rathian.

"Over here Mother!" A young woman asked with a kitsune mask, leather jacket, and a sparrow mini skirt with leggings and boots.

"Aimihana again with the mask? Your twenty two shouldn't you have put this away?" The mother asked, lifting the mask showing Aimihana's beautiful silver eyes that faded into black in the center.

"So that way people can tell us apart mom! After all, I don't want to be known as Tenshihana's shadow!" Aimi said to her mother as they had both laughed together as mother and daughter would.

"My name is Tenshihana I'm a hunter for the research commission guild and I'm also the lead investigator and researcher to all Wyverns in the surrounding locales. This young girl here is my daughter Aimihana, twenty-two years old, a prodigy hunter master of the dual blades and longsword while I myself have a heart for the art of hammer, great and long sword, bow, bowguns... Actually all the weapons really... Anyways she has been my best partner ever since the disbanding of my Void Hunters and after a... Great loss... Enough about that... For the past few years we've been investigating the sudden surge of Elder dragon activity that started ever since I slayed the bringer of death Fatalis, me and Aimi have been a repellent for most Elder dragons but there's only so much we can handle and I'm not in my prime anymore at the age of forty eight where I can barely take on three Elders at once. Aimi is a bit young where she hasn't hit the prime of her youth at the age of twenty two at least not yet. These Elder Dragons are bad for the environment and the living ecosystem this side of the world has to offer so like many hunters we try to take out as much as we can, oddly enough however there has been some weird... I guess you can say distortions or portals that appear out of nowhere. Much like the times when I meet a hunter from a different world their names being Geralt, or that huntress Aloy when we hunted that mechanical beast that made way to the Ancient Forest, and finally the time when me and the Void hunters dispatched of the behemoth following Moogle's instructions. Yet these ones are different as if something in our world is bending space and time to its own will... Whatever this being is we have to stop it."

"So Aimi are you ready to go?"

"Yes mother. I suggest we start at the Shrine Ruins Hinoa and Mikoto were telling me that they had sensed something out of the ordinary in that region."

"I see, those two helped warn me about Ibushi and Narwa. Let's check out their lead."

At the Shrine Ruins late at night.

"Mom, take a look at this!" Aimi said picking up a Scale that resembles that of a Kushala Daora yet had black coloring and purple skid marks on it.

"That's definitely a Daora scale but... Why is it this color?"

"Is it possible for an Elder dragon to be affected with Apex energy?"

"I certainly hope not Tempered and Arch tempered are hard enough. I can't imagine an Apex affected Elder dragon but if that's the case then we need to hunt this thing down now."

"Understood. What have you found?"

"Dark Crystals they have a strange aura to them same one those Apexes excerpt from time to time."

"That sounds like a connection."

"We won't know til we continue investigating." The two women agreed as they continued walking through the Shine ruins for anything that may help.
