Chapter 4 (The Slytherin Dormitories)

The Prefects gather the first years from each house and the Slytherin Prefects begin to lead us down to the Slytherin Dormitories in the dungeons.

As we begin to journey down to the dungeons, another first year falls through a trick stair on one of the staircases.

I grasp his hand firmly and pull him out of the step.

"Are you alright?" I ask.

"Yes, I'm fine thank you," he says stiffly.

"What's your name? My name is Emmanuelle Tonks. You can call me Emmy."

"Marcus Flint," he says, holding out his hand.

We shake hands with a small smile.

"Very nice to meet you," Marcus says with a kiss to my hand.

"Same to you," I reply with a smile.

Soon after, we reach a massive portrait of a man with a long beard.

The prefect tells us that this is Salazar Slytherin, the portrait for the entry to the common room.

"The password is Patronus. Don't share the password with anyone outside of Slytherin House and be careful when talking about the password because we can't have it slipping into the wrong hands," the Slytherin Prefect announces.

Everyone enters the common room after one of the Prefects say the password.

I walk in after everyone else and I am in awe over the absolute elegance of the common room.

It has high ceilings like a ballroom, leather couches, warm fires, huge bookshelves, tables and desks, and a massive grand piano in the corner.

Through massive windows we can see into what I'm guessing is the Black Lake, the giant squid moves past the window and I could've sworn he waved at me.

"Marcus! Did you see that?" I exclaim with excitement evident in my voice. "The squid waved!"

"I know! This is so cool. I'm so glad I got Slytherin," Marcus responds.

"Me too."

We depart up to our Dorm rooms and I try to find my room.

A girl who looks to be a fourth year comes up and asks if I need help finding my dorm.

I gladly accept the help and introduce myself.

"My name is Emmy Tonks. What's your name?"

"Eliana Warrington. It's very nice to meet you. I'm a fourth year, and I'm going to assume you're a first year?" The girl says.

I nod my head and we start to go up to the spiral staircase, heading towards the first year dorms.

I see my name on a plaque to my right. There are two other girls' names on the plate. Alessia Fortesque and Ember Montague.

I recognize the girl Alessia's last name from the ice cream place in Diagon Alley called Florean Fortesque's Ice Cream Parlour.

I walk into my dorm after thanking Eliana.

As I enter there are two girls on separate beds with one empty bed in between.

I walk over to the empty bed with my trunk and sit down.

"Hi, I'm Emmy Tonks, what are your names?"

A girl with blonde hair and green/hazel eyes speaks up first, "I'm Alessia, you can call me Ally though."

The other girl has brown hair and brown eyes, "Hey, I'm Ember." She says this kind of quietly and I can tell she is a bit nervous.

"The common room and the dorms look amazing don't they? I can't wait for everything to really kick into action," I exclaim.

"Yeah I'm pretty excited for classes to start," Ember says. "I've heard that the teachers are really nice, except the Potions Professor."

"I've heard that too, but potions still sounds fun," Ally replies.

We talk for a while, and soon we are getting so tired it is nearly impossible to keep our eyes open.

"Good night," we all mumbled quietly before drifting off to sleep in hopes of a great outcome for the next day.

Hey guys, sorry for the huge delay in posting, to be honest I kind of forgot about this story.

There are new characters!!!
Eliana is Cassius Warrington's older sister, Ember is the elder sister of Graham Montague and it is thought that Alice Longbottom's (Neville's Mom) maiden name was Fortesque, so I plan on Alessia being Neville's cousin.

For the Dorm Room:
Basically this layout with two more beds to the left, and a bed side table for each bed. Also a little brighter in the room itself.
