—Carter's POV—
'She was totally checking you out Cart,'Jesse says to me as we are walking out of the terminal.
Alex nods in agreement, whilst taking pictures non-stop, with his beloved Nikon.
'No man, I don't even know who she is, what her name is, where she is from,' I contradict, thinking of the girl myself.
She was pretty, I mean she is pretty. She has tan skin, dark hair but she looks like a genuinely sweet girl; not like those fake, leggy blondes that usually attempt to talk to me. Was she checking me out? Forget it dude, she was probably thinking what a dork I am. Luke just annoyingly proves my point as he bursts out laughing.
'Looks like Carter has got himself a keeper,'
'Cart, her name is Lillian,' Jesse informs me.
Apparently he met her at the bookstore in the duty-free area when the others and I were too busy scoffing down burgers and chips at the restaurant. Jesse, being the nerd he is, wanted a new book for our holiday.
This is my last trip before I join my new school; the one where these guys I call my friends go to. Apparently it's an elite school only for the rich; well that's me I guess.
Rich.
So many people would kill to be me right now. Son of the one of the world's biggest multi-millionaire and his wife, hollywood's most desired actress. But me? I would give everything for a bit of simplicity. I do love my parents, but I hate it when they love their fame more than me. Apparently getting me into the state's finest, most prestigious school would up their game. I'm just a pawn in their massive game of chess, right?
I shrug and walk into the car. We drive past the blurring, scenic Hawaii seaside and after a short time, stop in front of a luxury resort.
Mauna Lewa Resort
***
—Lily's POV—
'Mauna Lewa Resort, huh? Nice choice Vi,' I compliment, taking in the grand exterior of the hotel itself.
We walk inside the tropically designed hotel and are welcomed with a fresh, orange mocktail as we wait for our keys. The manager walks out himself and greets us.
'Miss Violet Dione, thank you for choosing our hotel, I hope you have an enjoyable time at Mauna Lewa and our staff are here 24/7 at your service, of course.'
'Thank you Mr. Hale, I'm certain we will have a delightful stay,' Vi replies smirking. She was obviously over-exaggerating her politeness because as far as I know Vi (which is very far), Vi is downright and blatant.
The resort is actually very pretty and has beach-side cottages and villas lined along the coastline. There are several restaurants and cafes. There is also a pool, but most people prefer to head down to the beach in a summery weather such as this. There is even a disco every Friday night, which we might attend.
We received the keys to villa numbers 40 41 and 42. We were going to stay in different villas for more privacy, besides the resort didn't really allow 3 people in one room. Atleast we were all next to eachother. We could sneak out at night time like pre-teens and scare eachother, and tell ghost stories, have midnight feasts...the list goes on. Vi had already called dibs on 41 as it would be in the middle and Penny's lucky number was 42, so that left me with villa no.40. Not that they were any different from eachother.
We reach our villas and immediately notice the breath-taking views of the Hawaiian coast. Palm tree-lined lanes ran beside the sand and had streams of tourists, all in their holiday attire, taking endless photos. The back garden of the villa had a large hot-tub with a jacuzzi, but I think I would rather just go to the beach. It felt more natural and fun that way. Don't get me wrong though, I do love jacuzzis once in a while.
