I wake up at 3:00 am in the morning just because some idiot has decided to text me. Switching on my table lamp, pulling my phone out, I read this wonderful message that is supposedly more amazing than my sleep.

Date night tonight. Hope u haven't forgotten :)-Superman

I groan inwardly. This was what woke me up. Couldn't he have waited till a normal time? Although, I would be ling if I said the '-Superman' didn't cause a little, tiny smile to form on my lips.

Dude, r u nocturnal? Yh, haven't had major memory loss problems yet. I remember x( - Clumsy

Almost immediately I get a reply.

Yh, I'm an owl. Dress comfortable -Superman

Grt, time to get those fancy ball gowns out- Clumsy

Wow u hv ball gowns? Never pegged u as a dancing girl- Superman

I don't dance, stupid, it was a joke!- Clumsy

Stupid?! U know u love me secretly ;) -Superman

We keep texting for a while before mom calls me down for breakfast. I checked the time. 8:00. Wow, time really does fly. We were texting for 5 hours!

'Hey mom, what's for breakfast?' I ask when I see my mother flipping a frying pan frantically.

'Nutella pancakes and croissants,' she replies calmy without looking back.

Yum.

'Mum-' I begin as she sets the scrummy looking food on the dining table, as she nods. 'Well, here's the thing, nothing too important-'

'Cut to the point.'

Oh. Okay then.

'Ihaveadatewithcartertonight,' I mumble into my pancake.

'English please,' mum sighs.

'I've got this date tonight. Carter asked me,' I say quietly but a lot more clearly than last time.

My mm looks thoughtful, but eventually her lips curl upwards into a small smile as she sighs.

'I'd be worried, after, you know, Mason, but Carter seems trustworthy I guess,' she says as I sigh happily and engulf her into a big hug.

'Mason is my  past, he doesn't exist for me any more, and it's not like me and Carter like each other, it's just a stupid challenge,' I state.

'A challenge? Do expand.'

'It's nothing, that ego-centric brat thinks I'll fall in love with him in a month, it's stupid, so I accepted the challenge just to see him lose.'
