<Author's pov>
"Munyeong ah, have some porridge."
Gangtae carried a tray with a bowl of porridge on top and walked towards the bed. Patting munyeong's shoulder, he caressed her head with a smile on his face in hope she would wake up. However, she still did not turn around. Sighing, he leaned towards her and showered her with morning kisses, from head to neck, to tummy. Suddenly, just as gangtae was about to ruffle munyeong's hair, munyeong stretched her arms as she groaned,
"Ughh, stop. I want to sleep."
"Munyeong ah, it's already 2 pm. Time to wake up. Also, we have an appointment at the doctor's at 4."
Gangtae replied, smiling at munyeong's foolishness.
"Just 5 more minutes."
She replied, stretching her arms.
Giggling, gangtae rubbed her forehead and replied,
"That's what you said this morning yah. Time to wake up now, before we have no time."
"Just 5 more minutes!"
Munyeong shouted in frustration as her eyebrows frowned with her eyes still shut.
"Munyeong , we really cannot waste any more time. We have to-"
"Shhhhh, let me sleep!"
Munyeong placed her index finger against her lips as she flopped to the other side. Sighing, gangtae looked at munyeong and back at the porridge again. He glanced back and forth before a dirty smirk crept onto his face and replied,
"Then....I have to eat you!"
"Wha-"
Before munyeong could even finish her sentence, gangtae pounced on munyeong as he mercilessly tickled her on the tummy. Shocked, munyeong's eyes immediately opened as her body itched and started bursting out in laughter.
"Hahahaha, stop...stop!"
She would scream in between breaths.
"No...Why didn't you wake up just now?"
A smile plastered on Gangtae's face as he continued to tickle munyeong playfully. Munyeong struggled to get out of gangtae's grasp but his strength was beyond compare. While they were having fun with a battle, suddenly,
"Ah!"
Munyeong gasped as her hand reached out to her tummy. Aware of the situation, Gangtae switched expressions as he looked at munyeong worriedly, asking,
"Mwo? Gwaenchanayo?"
Ignoring gangtae, munyeong's hands slowly travelled around her belly before a smile crept onto her face. Giggling, she turned around and took gangtae's wrist, and placed his palm onto a certain spot on her tummy. She then gently said,
"Look, our baby's moving."
Feeling his unborn child squirming in the mummy's tummy, tears uncontrollably welled up in gangtae's eyes as he laughed and looked at munyeong again. With his hand travelling up to munyeong's head, he caressed her hair and told her,
"I love you... munyeong."
Smiling, munyeong replied with an eye grin,
"I love you too... gangtae ssi."
"Now wake up darling."
He lifted munyeong's body up as she was left sitting on the bed. Yawning, munyeong stretched her arms as she nodded her head.
"Yah, go and shower first."
Gangtae grinned as he rubbed munyeong's hand with his thumb. Listening to gangtae, munyeong got off the bed and wore her fuzzy slippers as she walked to the bathroom. Smiling at her cute figure in fuzzy slippers, gangtae placed the bowl of porridge on the bedside table and started walking around the room to observe what to change for their upcoming renovation. With his hand travelling along the dusty curtains, he uncontrollably murmured to himself,
"Maybe we should change the curtains when we renovate."
He looked up and down at the blue, patterned with thorns cloth as goosebumps travelled up his back. Although it has been almost a year, he still shivered at the thought of do hui jae and her wicked schemes which brought absolutely nothing but misery in their lives. Gangtae then tugged at the curtains, to see if it was sustainable enough when, suddenly,
"thud!"
A small thud could be heard. Looking down, gangtae gasped as his palm covered his mouth and stared at the object. It was painted in a sea of dark blue, with gold linings here and there. However, the main point that caught gangtae's attention was...
The butterfly sticker pasted on it.
It was just like the butterfly brooch do hui jae used to keep.
"No... this can't be..."
Gangtae's eyes darted from left to right eyes roaming around the card before he finally closed his eyes shut, took a deep breath and kneeled down. Picking up the card from the floor, gangtae mustered all his courage and decided to open it up. Taking out a piece of paper from the packaging, gangtae stared at it again as he was dumbfounded.
"How could this be? I thought she is in jail."
He whispered under his breath as he could not believe what was laying in front of him. Getting up on his feet, the card dropped from gangtae's grasp as he dashed out of the bedroom. Floating down to the floor, the card laid there with the words facing up. The words were casted in red as if the colour of blood. The silver linings shone in the room as if begging for attention. On the card that held all fear, the words that send gangtae shivering displayed itself,
"You didn't think you and munyeong would have a happy ending... did you?"

"Is do hui jae in her cell?"
Gangtae asked in a soft tone, in the kitchen.
"Yes."
The voice came out from the other side.
"Okay thank you."
Hanging up the phone, gangtae heaved a sigh of relief as he massaged his temples and consoled himself,
"Maybe it's a letter from last time."
Taking a deep breath, gangtae put on a smile and headed back to munyeong's bedroom, hoping she is not done showering yet.

<Gangtae's pov>
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!"
Munyeong screamed as tears started forming in her eyes, her hand holding the card high up in her hand.
"Munyeong ah, it's just-"
"IT'S JUST?! IT'S JUST?! GANGTAE CAN YOU TAKE THINGS SERIOUSLY FOR ONCE?! THIS IS CONCERNING OUR FUTURE AND OUR BABY!"
Munyeong glared at me with those eyes of hers. In an attempt to save the situation, I replied,
"Munyeong ah, it's a card from last time. Maybe she left it there. But do hui jae is in jail now. How can she possibly come here?"
I quickened my pace over to munyeong. Just as I was about to take her hand to comfort her, she swiftly took her hand away from me as she stood in front of me, eye to eye. Sighing, she closed her eyes, and took a deep breath before looking at me again and asking,
"If this isn't true, why is the date here 4th of July 2021?! Did you really think you can lie to me?!"
What? When was the date there.
Shocked, I quickly grabbed the card from munyeong's hand and examined it carefully. There was no sign of dates or anything on the front cover of the card. Turning it around, the numbers imprinted on the back of the card then left me speechless as I stood there frozen, gasping in shock.

No way...no. this can't be true.
