I glare at Vernon, before I turn to Changbin and Han and say,
"Hi! You made it!"
They just nod and then they both bow when Hoshi and Vernon nod at them as a "hello".
Vernon pokes my arm and says,
"Are you coaching them?"
I frown. "No, we're working out as friends. Just like you and Hoshi!"
Hoshi just smiles at me before he tugs at Vernons shirt and say, "Let's go bro, you've flirted enough for one lifetime now"
I roll my eyes and wave them off as they leave. I can't really face looking at Han or Changbin so instead I just take a step back and almost trip over a barbell. I'm lucky that I manage to grab onto Wooyoung's arm to maintain my balance. Wooyoung just laughs but Han looks worried. Changbin just shakes his head.
"Ya! Are you still drunk?" Changbin says and glares at me.
I shake my head and say, "No I'm just... whatever."
"I didn't know you were friends with those sunbaes" Han says, without looking at me.
"Yeah, no I wouldn't say we're friends? I mean I've met them at the gym a fair bit and Em, my friend, directed one of their music videos so I do know them a bit but-" I stop talking when I notice Wooyoung looking at me and shaking his head.
"What's with the coaching talk?" Changbin says and I groan.
"It's so dumb. It's an inside joke with me and Vernon. He asked me to coach him a while ago and I said no. He never lets it go" I shrug. "But he doesn't really need my help, which is what I told him"
And Wooyoung, bless his soul, says "Ya, and he took that as if you were flirting with him. That's hilarious! You and him?!" Wooyoung starts laughing and I would take offense if I didn't agree with him that it's a ridiculous situation. Wooyoung's comment seems to lift the mood a little and I tell the guys what we're doing today. I love being at the gym and I love lifting weights because I feel strong and I am in control. I know what I'm doing and I love that feeling. Changbin and Han are working on the bench press, whilst me and Wooyoung are busy with deadlifts. I pride myself on my deadlifts and I feel stupidly proud when I can lift more than Wooyoung. Not that he works out at the gym nearly as much as I do. But he's overall stronger due to the dancing and stuff. After about 30 minutes, we decide to swap sections. Wooyoung and Changbin both decide at the same time that they need to go get water. I could kill them. But I won't. I start removing discs from the barbell to ease up the weight for the others, and Han comes over to help me. After we're done I sit down on the ground and open a can of energy drink. He sits down opposite of me and I feel like I need to say something.
"Hey, about before..." I say and he looks up from the floor.
"Yeah?"
"It's just a joke like. Vernon likes to joke around and Hoshi likes to tease him about flirting with me. But it's really nothing."
"Okay" Han says, nodding. I don't know why I feel the need to explain it to him or why I just want him to smile or to act like it's all fine. But he just seems down.
"My ex used to get really upset whenever I mentioned any of my male friends or even spoke to them. So I guess that's why I feel like I constantly need to explain every situation to.. everyone. I don't know. It's dumb." I sigh and look up to meet Han's gaze.
"No, it's not dumb" he says, and then he pauses. "I didn't know your ex had an issue with your friends."
I smirk. "Changbin didn't tell you?"
