(Un)Lost

CAN YOU FEEL IT?

I wake up at 6.30am, and even though I try to fall back asleep it won't work. By 7am I'm up and ready to go to the gym. I've packed my outfit for the shoot and brought stuff so I can shower and get ready at the gym. The gym is about a 20 minute drive from the shoot so it's not too bad. Emma is still asleep so I write a note for her saying that I'm at the shoot and will be until late but that I'll call her on my break. I head down to my car and drive towards the gym. I park in the garage underneath the gym and take the elevator up. I kind of expect the gym to be completely empty so I'm very surprised when I see Vernon from Seventeen on a treadmill. He takes off his headphones and waves when he sees me. As I walk up to him, he pauses the treadmill.

"Hey! What's up?" He says and grins.

"Just tryna get an early workout in before a shoot" I say and smile.

"Yeah I was gonna ask why you're here so early but I get it."

I laugh. "And why are you here so early?"

"I couldn't sleep and was bored so figured why not."

I nod. "Yeah I can relate." I look at the watch on the wall. 7.30 am. I have to leave here by 9 at the latest, so I can work out for an hour. Perfect.

"When do you have to leave?" Vernon asks.

"Around 9" I say.

He nods. "Wanna work out together?"

"Uh" I say. I don't really have an excuse. "Sure, why not?"

He laughs. "I mean you don't sound very excited."

I roll my eyes. "I was just taken aback, I didn't expect you to ask that."

He jumps off the treadmill and grabs his stuff. We head into the weightlifting area and set up near two barbells.

We work out for an hour together, and it's not like I tell him what to do or coach him like when me and Changbin work out. Vernon does his own thing and only asks me once to spot for him when he tries out a new heavier weight for the bench press. When we're done, we head for elevator down to the garage and as he's waiting for the elevator to show up, he says, 

"Hey, so really weird question. Are you seeing anyone?"

I just stare at him. "What?"

He smiles. "Yeah I know you're not with Jinyoung now but are you seeing someone? If not I'd like to see you outside the gym."

I'm so surprised I don't know what to say. If this had been a month ago I would've been over the moon about being asked out by Vernon, but not right now.

"Oh" I say. "I'm a little surprised" I smile. "And yeah I kind of am seeing someone. It's kind of recent."

He laughs. "Damn it, I knew I should've asked you earlier"

The elevator shows up and he says,

"But if it doesn't work out, call me!"

He goes inside the elevator and disappears down, while I'm left wondering how I'm supposed to call someone when I don't even have their number. Not that I think I'd ever have to actually call him. I don't intend on it. I go the locker room and take a shower. Afterwards I dry my hair and put on my outfit. Another warm day according to the news. I put on a light blue floral wrap dress and my Balenciaga sneakers. I let my hair hang down today. I grab my stuff and leave the gym at exactly 9am. I drive to the set and when I get there I take a few hangers and start carrying them inside the house. Mina hasn't arrived yet so I manage to get all the clothes inside before she shows up holding a cup of coffee for me. I thank her for that and we begin to organize the clothes for the day. When I asked JYPE about the concept for the third shoot they literally said "think about a party in an American teenage movie" and I had to stop myself from laughing out loud. They indirectly told me it was a fuckboy vibe they wanted and I was not that surprised to be honest. I've gone for a lot of graphic tees, denim jackets and plaid shirts. My favorite outfit is the one Han is gonna be wearing and I feel like even before I met him, I indirectly gave him the best outfit. I guess my crush was active even before I realized it myself. His outfit is sweatshirt shorts, Vans, tube socks and an oversized white tee and then a vintage supreme headband. Yeah cause it's now called vintage when it's only a few years old if it's Supreme. He's gonna look so good and I don't know how I'll be able to cope seeing him and not being close to him. Ah, the constant struggle. I hear some commotion outside and I know Stray Kids have arrived. Han sent me a message last night and we chatted for a bit before I went to sleep. I messaged him this morning and he replied when I was at the gym.
