Ding dong.

Ding dong.

Sehun was pressing on the calling bell impatiently, almost driving the people inside the house insane.

"Who are you?" by the look on the person's face, he knew that the latter wasn't happy with the way he just behaved.

"Is- is Bean- I mean Baekhyun your roommate?" Sehun asked hesitatingly, feeling so inferior by the intimidating figure that opened the door for him.

He stared at Sehun up and down and walked inside leaving the one at the door confused.

A few seconds later he saw Baekhyun come to him with disheveled hair and a sleepy face, wearing a plain black shirt and unbuttoned grey ash cardigan paired with Nike pants and thin round glasses.

"You look like a total mess." Sehun said, laughing at the person in front.

Baekhyun just awkwardly stood still, "how did you find my address?" he asked.

"Any problem Baekhyun?" His roommate asked, glaring at Sehun.

"It's ok Kris, he's my ex-colleague." Baekhyun cleared things for his friend. "So, how did you get here?" Baekhyun asked Sehun again.

"I went to the office to see you but they said you are working from home these days. I couldn't find you in the cafe beside our office so I asked Jeong for your address." He gave a good long explanation.

"You went to the office?" Baekhyun was struck in the first line itself.

"Don't worry, I sneaked in. No one other than a few good mates found me." Hearing it, Baekhyun sighed in relief.

"So, why are you here?" he softly asked.

"Your book. I came to return it." He was holding a notebook that was in its worst condition. Drenched and dried, crushed and crumbled.

Baekhyun recognized it was his book that he forgot on the rooftop the night he met Sehun, "Ahhh, I'm sorry, I went to get it the next day. It was already like that. Sorry." rubbing the back of his head Sehun offered the book again.

"You went looking for it!" Baekhyun finally took his book, "That's so generous of you, thank you very much." he smiled.

Few quiet seconds and it felt like forever for both of them. Sehun was still standing at the door, Kris was watching them while standing a few inches away. No one was inviting him inside.

"Wanna go grab some coffee?" Finally Sehun put the word in front.

"Baekhyunee you can bring him inside; I can get you both some drinks." Kris suggested.

"It's ok Kris, it's your day off. Take some rest before Jisoo brings her project mates." He said and Kris agreed.

"You look like you lost so much weight, are you alright?" Sehun asked as they walked under the heavy clouds.

"I'm totally fine, thank you." Baekhyun tried to smile again, "Is there anything you wanted to talk about, or did you really come to deliver that book?" He tried his best to keep the conversation neutral.

"I'm- I'm shifting to a new place actually, and I found your- your book while cleaning." Sehun was tripping on his own words and Baekhyun stared at him confused.

"It's not a very important book though. Anyway, I appreciate that."

They went inside a small cafe in that neighborhood and sat with their drinks. For a long time, it was just silence between them, neither of them uttered a word and sipped on their drinks watching the wet pavements and trees.
