Anger or warmth?

Upon reaching her office she directly went to  the interview room because ofcourse it was her own personal secretarie's selection. Many came and went but she really couldn't find any potential in anyone. That was untill a guy came.

It was the same guy! The one who barged in her umbrella, the one who complimented her mother's precious last memory, the one who gave her an absolutely beautiful smile and the one who has been in her mind throughout her way to the office.

Greeting everyone with that beautiful smile of his, he handed his documents to the other interviewees. Anna said in her mind " so these are the documents he wanted to save so badly." She was going through his documents and as always she would first see thier years of experience, their college percentages bla bla bla. But this time she was more curious about this person's name.

Anna again talked in her brain " so this guy's name is..... Daniel Cristopher... Oh okay.... Wait WHAT!?!?? Daniel??? Daniel Cristopher??!?? No no no he can't be him, HE CAN'T. He was not like this right? He was not so extrovert going around smiling to people and getting along with everyone so well. He definitely isn't the Daniel Cristopher I knew... He isn't... He isn't..." Anna came to this conclusion and only then she could calm her mind. She glanced at him again. Seeing the smile of his face not fading away and giving the answers so nicely " YES he isn't him I'm sure of it!".

After the interview ended the other interviewees came to a conclusion that Daniel was the best of them with good percentage, enough knowledge about work and they were also impressed by his social skills. The last person to be asked was Anna they all asked her " Miss. Swift what do you think about Daniel? We all came to the conclusion that he's best suitable Atleast for now... Because we know after a month or two we'll have to look for other secretaries again....". Anna couldn't disagree because ofcourse all of her secretaries would leave in a month or two. Anna said" if you all think he's good enough then appoint him. No need to delay anymore." And thus he was appointed and was called to work after two days

After two days everone was extremely excited to see the new secretary of thier boss. Some of them were just too used to see new secretaries every month that they stopped caring. The most excited ones were the female employees. They heard that the new secratary is extremely handsome so they couldn't wait too see him. And in this whole chaos the handsome secretary arrived. He was dressed in dark-colored suit and a  simple tie, with a button-down shirt and belt. Pair with a professional, closed-toed shoe like an oxford or loafer. He really looked mesmerizing. Upon seeing him the female employees couldn't help but scream "OMG HE'S SOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!"hearing this Daniel just politely greeted everyone and went straight to the boss's office.

Anna was sitting in her chair doing some paper works when Daniel came.
" May I come in miss. Swift?"
Hearing this Anna looked at him and said "you're late"
he was shocked and said Miss. Swift I remember I stepped in the office at sharp 9:00 AM how am I late?"
Anna answered " you're suppose to come in the office at 8:00 AM arrange all the paperwork properly, arrange my schedule for the meetings and at sharp 9:00 AM I want my coffe understand? This is your first day so I'm sparing you but from tomorrow I don't want any mistakes. Now you can come in."

Hearing all this Daniel almost fell on his knees from the dizziness but he still smiled and apologised " I'm really sorry Miss. Swift I'll do my best from tomorrow". And that way he was introduced to the cold boss of his whom everyone was afraid of. He couldn't help but think that she didn't look that cold when they met on the road and she was even crying.... Here she looked as cold as ice who can kill someone with just a glance of hers.

It was lunch time and everyone went to the canteen to sit with thier friends and eat. Ofcourse Daniel didn't even need to do anything to make friends specially female friends.... Many of them came rushing to him offering him food and trying to befriend him. But his eyes were looking for one person... His boss. Before coming to the canteen he looked at her busy with work she really didn't looked like she was going to eat any soon.

He went to her office to see again and yes she really wasn't eating anything just busy with work work and work.
He knocked at her office's door to ask the permission for getting in
Anna answered" yes come in. Why are you here at the time of the lunch?"
Daniel said" Miss. Swift I was wondering why are you not eating? Did you forgot to bring lunch? Do you want me to bring some food from canteen? "

Hearing this Anna was really speechless never did any of her secretary asked her about this. They all low-key hated her so she not eating never bothered them. Ofcourse she wouldn't tell him that  after her mom  left she developed a habit of skipping meals. Sometimes she'll literally go a whole day with just one cup of coffee.
So she replied " I just don't want to eat and I don't think you need to concern yourself with my meals. You're here to assist me with my works so do it. No need to do extra works"
Ofcourse Daniel expected her to be this way so he stated " I understand so because I'm here to assist you I'll do that. If my boss isn't eating and only working I'll assist her in that as well."

Hearing this Anna's just couldn't understand what she felt. Was she angry because he dare use her words against her like this? Or is it the warmth she felt suddenly because after so many years someone actually cared about her? For such a simple thing? She didn't show any change in her expression and said
" As you wish just don't go around complaining to others that your boss is so cruel who doesn't let you eat. It's you who insisted on this so don't forget that."
Daniel replied "ofcourse Miss. Swift. I can never bad mouth about you in front of anyone and I'm really happy to assist you here then to go and eat there."

Anna really didn't know what she should say now. She said "okay then start your work stop saying useless things". Hearing this Daniel went straight to work. Anna just didn't know how to put her feelings in words right now. Someone just suddenly started caring for her what is she suppose to do? She just knew how to act cold so she just kept doing it. And like that despite of having such a cold boss. With a smile as beautiful as him. He skipped his meals for his boss and kept working.
