At sixes and sevens my heart

"you look good"

It was another busy day in the office, everyone buried in work and not caring about the surrounding. Everything was same except one thing. The Daniel that looked always lively and a ball sunshine wasn't looking well today.

He had dark circles and he also looked a little thin and weak as well. Somehow he couldn't smile today, although he tried his best to hide that he's not feeling well. Well not Just today he has not been feeling well from several days, it's just that today it's too much that he is not able to hide it. He felt weak, dizzy and he couldn't hide that anymore. But he didn't dare to ask for a break. He felt that he's new and taking a break for such small things is unreasonable so he tried his best to not make his bad health obvious.

He went straight to office to make a cup of coffee for his boss because that's the only thing she relies on whole day. But suddenly his head hurt really badly, everything in front of his eyes went black and he collapsed on the floor. The coffe spill everywhere and he just collapsed in that whole mess making that always well dressed man look kind of dirty.

Anna was waiting for her coffe for an hour now. She kept wondering why is he late. after thinking a little bit more she finally decided to go look for him. When she entered the place where Daniel usually makes coffee what she saw totally left her astonished. She couldn't help but shout " DANIEL WHAT HAPPENED??!!" she went to him picked him up from that mess and somehow was able to put him on the different side. She called the doctor and in that mean time she took out her handkerchief and wiped his clothes and his face. Although it didn't make much difference but he still looked cleaner.

Doctor arrived soon and after checking Daniel up he told Anna " how much do you make him work for him to be like this?"
Anna was dumbfounded so she asked " I don't get it what do you mean by this?"
The doctor said " He has not been eating well at all and that lead for his immunity to be really weak, he should be resting now but he's here working and not to mention he looks like he have gad eaten anything since days, can't you see?"
After hearing this Anna looked at Daniel properly, and thought "he indeed looked really weak and that dark circles... Why... He was such a lively person.. am I the reason why is he like this?.. talking about not eating..is he skipping meals because of me??? But why??? And why did he not tell me if he was not well??"but it was all in her head. After that she said to doctor " I am sorry doctor please give him medicines and I will make sure that he doesn't overwork now, it was my fault."
The doctor added" and don't forget to not let him skip meals!" Anna didn't have any option except nodding to doctor's advises

The doctor gave some medicines to Daniel and told Anna that he'll wake up soon. After 30 minutes Daniel woke up. He found himself in a room. He was really shocked because the last thing he remembers is making coffe for his boss. " What is this room? Where am I? Ugh my head hurts!" Suddenly a really calm yet cold voice sounded in his ears  "That's because you fell on the floor what do you expect to happen to your head then? And who told you to overwork yourself and skip..... Because of you I am the one getting blamed for not paying attention to my employees!" Daniel didn't know what to say so he Just said" I.. I am sorry Miss swift"
Anna replied " Do you think your apology changes anything? What I expect from you is not repeat these mistakes again"
Daniel said" I am sorry Miss swift I won't cause trouble for you again."
Anna added " Also you... Stop skipping your meals the doctor said that you barely eat"
Daniel said " Miss swift... That's because I have a habit of skipping breakfast so I use to eat lunch here and then dinner at home.. but now I don't eat lunch because you don't eat as well and sometimes I don't eat dinner as well because I get so tired and don't feel like eating."
Anna was completely astonished by this answer of Daniel,. She said " so you're saying that I am the reason you're like this huh? Did I tell you to not eat because I don't eat??? It's you! Why do you want to act so good when it's not of any help?? Stop it! Do you think you're helping me in anyway?? Just stop doing this!" Although Daniel didn't say anything his eyes did. His eyes were filled with tears he tried his best to not let them fall. He lowered his head and said " I am really sorry Miss swift." Anna was speechless to see him like this so she didn't say anything to him and left.

After leaving Anna felt that she really was too rude to Daniel just now. But she can't help it. She's just too use to being rude now, And seeing Daniel being all kind and helping without expecting anything from others she was reminded of her past self. He reminded her of her past self and also her past best friend. Daniel somehow made her remember all the memories she has buried in her heart. And that made her emotions act too much, sometimes she felt too warm sometimes she felt too angry. He made her feel like that. So right now in order to hide the fact that she was touched by him not eating because of her she changed that little bit of warmth into a wave of anger. And let it out on Daniel.

After resting for awhile in that room, Daniel decided to go out but a person suddenly came inside. That person said " sir here's your medicines and your food"
Daniel was really shocked and asked " why are you giving me food and medicine? Do you know me?"
That man giggled and said " sir I don't know you, this is sent by Miss swift."
Daniel said " oh Miss swift I see.... WHAT MISS SWIFT?? MY BOSS MISS SWIFT? ANNA SWIFT??"
that person was a little bit shocked but replied calmly " Yes sir this whole company's Boss Miss swift."
Daniel also had another question so he asked" can you please tell me what place is this? This room is so big and looks so luxurious... I am afraid I can't pay you enough for this."
That person answered " sir you don't have to worry about paying, this room is inside Miss swift's personal office, its her resting room but she never used it because... Maybe she doesn't like resting I guess.."
Daniel was just getting over the shock of Anna sending him food when he was hit by another shocking news " WHAT?? THIS IS MISS SWIFT'S RESTING ROOM?!"
That person said " yes sir you're right,  then I'll be going now"
Daniel replied " oh... Okay thank you so much for your service"

Daniel ate his food took his medicine and finally stepped out of the room. After leaving his gaze landed on a woman, she wasn't like other womens who put alot of efforts on thier beauty to look beautiful. That woman simply didn't bother about her looks, her beautiful hairs tied in a pony tail, her beautiful pair of eyes concentrating on a paper... She seemed too focused that she didn't notice a person in her office, her beautiful fingers holding a pen  writing something on that paper.. she seemed too focused on it..

Suddenly those pair of beautiful eyes looked up and stared at Daniel. Those eyes were too beautiful that suddenly Daniel didn't wanted to look away. He stared at her and she stared at him.  Suddenly the pen that Miss Swift was holding fell and the pair of eyes that were too busy staring at eachother looked away.
Anna said " You look good"
Daniel was shocked to core eyes wide open he asked "what?!"
Anna replied " I... I mean you look better now, your health seems better."
Daniel said " ohh.. that... Thanks for helping me so much Miss swift.."
Anna replied " you can take break for 3 days and come when you're feeling healthy"
Daniel replied " no.... No need Miss swift I am really fine now"
Anna said" it's an order I am not asking you if you want to take a break or not. Leave now and come after 3 days"
Daniel was speechless at the end he said" Miss swift.. thank you so much for all of this... I'll be leaving then.."

Daniel took a cab and was going to his home but suddenly he remembered how Miss Swift said " you look good" that sentence....even though it didn't actually mean that. But it still made his lips curve and his heart feel a little bit warm. He murmured to himself " Miss Swift.. you also looked really beautiful today."
