Your memories

Daniel reached his home. But like always his home never really felt like home. He have seen people being happy to go home and meet their loved ones. Be it their parents, their lover, their friends. But he? He actually didn't have anyone to be excited to meet at home. It was all the same.

He lay in his bed feeling a little bit exhausted, he closed his eyes and started thinking about what happened today. He remembered how Anna took care of him secretly, sent him food and also provided a room, not to mention she even gave him leave for 3 days. He couldn't help but think about past. When they were kids... When Anna was cheerful and did all of this directly... He missed that Anna..

The last memory to him of Anna was her leaving in ambulance with her mom... Crying... Sobbing... It was heart-wrenching... Daniel wanted to go and console her but he was accused of being the reason Anna's mom died.. he didn't know.... he was shocked and thought " is it true? Is my bad luck the reason this happened to Anna? If Anna didn't associate herself with me would everything will be the same? Would she be the cheerful girl I knew back then? Am I the reason she's like this now?" He had many questions to ask but no one to answer...

After that incident Daniel's aunt and uncle abandoned him saying that he will bring misfortune to their family. He roamed on the road, he cried... He had many reasons to, he didn't have anyone he could go to, he didn't have any friend, he lost his best friend, he lost a person who treated him like a family, he was also abandoned by people who provided him food and shelter. Where would he go now? Was this the end? He curled up in the corner of a road and kept crying, he was hungry and crying so much made him feel dizzy and he fainted. When he woke up he found himself in a room he never saw before, beside his bad sat a man. He was old maybe in his 60s, that man was really happy to see Daniel wake up. He got up and bought water and food for Daniel and asked him " how are you kid? I saw you on the road and brought you here." Daniel looked around and then looked at that man. That man looked at him with so much fondness that Daniel actually wasn't scared to meet a stranger and to be at his home.

Daniel said " I... I am fine. Thanks for your help." That man said " Ai no need to thank me you lil' bean. Tell me where are your parents? I'll drop you at your home." Daniel answered "I.. I don't have parents.." That man was shocked and said " Then... Relatives? Don't tell me you don't have them as well." Daniel replied" You're right I don't have relatives as well" that man was really shocked but also felt pity for the boy in front of him he asked" Then... Where do you live? What are we suppose to do now?" Daniel answered" I don't have home. I don't know what am I going to do now.." that man felt really sad for that poor little soul so he said " What do you think about living with me? Well I know it's so sudden and you might not trust me but I also don't have anyone in this world and having such an adorable kid like you around me would be a wonderful thing at the last stage of my life" Daniel gave it some thought and agreed to this actually he wasn't afraid of anything anymore. He felt like if this man is evil, meeting him might be his fate and if his fate is to die in some evil man's hands he'll accept it.

But surprisingly that man actually treated Daniel like his own son. He sent Daniel to school bought him clothes, toys, books, everything that he could ask for was Given to him. But ofcourse for Daniel happiness was like trying to hold sand in his hands. He'll try to hold it make full efforts and will actually succeed to hold it but eventually the sand will fall down from the gap of his fingers. It won't last long. Happiness was just like that in Daniel's life. He might experience it for awhile but he always knew that it is not going to last forever. The man who treated him like a son was soon gone from the world. Leaving Daniel alone in this cruel world. That man named his everything to Daniel so he didn't have financial problem and he grew up and studied on his own.

He went back to his aunt and uncle's home and after getting beaten almost to death they gave him what he came for... His only gifts from Anna and her mom... And some memories he had with Anna he bought them all to his home... He heard that Anna's mom couldn't make it so he felt more guilty and decided to never go in front of Anna's face ever again. He missed her he always did. It didn't take him much time to realise that his feelings for Anna were more than friends... He loved Anna.

He knew that he'll never meet her again so he cherished everything given to him by her. He cherished their every memory and he also changed himself to be like her. He thought that if he can't have her he can atleast be like her and hence the Daniel who once use to be cold and antisocial became a person who always helped others and had this constant smile on his face which never faded. It was all because of Anna.. because of the person he loved..

After finishing his studies he started looking for a job. He looked through many advertisements and going through them he saw one familiar face.. that face he always longed to see.. that beautiful face... The only difference was that face looked kind of cold but still that person was the most beautiful person Daniel had ever seen. It was Anna. After seeing that she has a company Daniel was happy for her and got curious to see what she is doing now. He was happy to know about her and suddenly somethings popped in his mind... He thought that he should try to apply for her company in that way he can actually look at her. From afar but atleast he could see her beautiful face. The day of the interview it was raining and he was waiting at the side for rain to stop and suddenly he saw a familiar person walking in the crowd... That person looked really gloomy really sad. Anna held a yellow umbrella in her hand and was walking alone on the road of crowded people looking closely he also saw her crying. Somehow he understood the reason. He knew that Anna and her mom loved to walk in the rain and this was her mom's favourite umbrella. He suddenly started rethinking about his decision to apply for Anna's company... "Wouldn't she be more sad to see me? She already looks like this. What if I become the reason of her being more sad?" He couldn't help but look at her crying face who was walking alone... Daniel thought that this ones he wants to be selfish. Selfish for love, selfish in love.....and he ran into her umbrella

He still remember how shocked she looked. He still remember how she tilted her umbrella more towards his side. He still remembers how she looked when he smiled at her. He still remembers how she looked when he complimented her umbrella... She looked sad.. it was like she wanted to be happy but she couldn't.... He was a little bit hurt to notice that she didn't recognise him but it also gave him the opportunity to show the new him to Anna. He wanted to be the best person to her. He wanted to make her happy. He wanted to see her smile like before again...

It was a long night with all these thoughts Daniel closed his wet eyelashes and slept. He wished for these 3 days to end soon so he could see his Anna again... His Miss Swift... His love.. he wanted to see her soon...
