The next month went by quickly, and before she knew it, it was the end of november. Leaves were falling from the trees and what was once a very sunny sky, was now a constant lurking darkness. Although, winter was definitely Evangelines favorite season. The scenery, the smells and all the foods that came with it always put a big smile on her face. Not to mention the change of clothes. Something about the heavy, comfortable clothing always made her happy for the season change.

Summer was her least favorite. The heat was her enemy. She absolutely hated feeling hot and sweaty, Tho she did like some of the clothes. If she was being honest, she just loves clothes. All different types. But yet she always stuck to dark colors.

One of the many reasons she despised summer was because of her mothers passing. Her mother had grown I'll, very I'll. Cancer had overtaken her whole body, so instead of enjoying the sun and breeze, Evangeline was stuck at home taking care of her mum. Although she never once complained. She always preferred taking care of her, rather then some stranger from St. Mungo's. Sometimes she wished her father was still around to help, but he dissapeared when she was only 4. Evangeline hasn't heard anything from him since. He completely dissapeared off the map. That's one of the many reasons she wanted to become an Auror. She had hoped to look for him and find him.

Once Eve had fully woken up, she got her morning shower out of the way and dressed for the day. Today, she wore a black pair of Jean's, and a beigh sweater. She paired it with some convers and of course, her robes. Once she was ready she headed for the main hall as everyone usually did in the mornings. Eve greeted all the students before taking her usual seat beside Severus. He was the first to speak.

"Morning Eve. How's your time at Hogwarts been this far?" He spoke softly to her, drinking his usual goblet of pumking juice.

"Tiring. I never understood how much Professors really do here until now. Honestly I dont know how you do it. All this time, all the ungrateful children and yet, here you are." Eve spoke to him, slightly rubbing her temples as a headache appeared. Severus chuckled slightly and nudged her shoulder.

"Now you see why I am the way I am. It's really not that bad. Students just dont understand how much effort and work it takes to be one of us. They get the privilege of studying and having fun, while we get the honor of taking care of their nasty behaviors and grading their poor writing."

Severus speaking made Eve laugh and shortly she was already in a better mood. It still takes her by surprise how down to earth and polite Severus is, now seeing him as more then just her old Professor. She can sympathize with him on a personal level.

"Winter break is coming up soon, have any plans?" Severus said to Eve, breaking the silence. He's definitely one that likes to talk, as long as hes talking to someone he actually likes, and they are willing to listen.

"Not really. I think I may just go home for the break. Catch up on some cleaning since I've been gone for so long." Eve said to him. Severus apparently didn't know she had her own house because the look he gave her was one of confusion.

"Your house? Do you mean your parents or?" He asked her.

"No, my house. Once my mother died I got a place of my own right on the outskirts of Hogsmeade. I was already 18 so it wasn't very hard." Eve hesitantly spoke to Severus. If she was being honest, she never really told anyone about her personal life. She always preferred to keep things slightly private.

"I'm sorry to hear about your mother. What about your father? Is he around any?"  Severus asked her. Eve tensed up at the mention of her father. No one really talked about him since he left, but at the same time not many knew he left to begin with.
