Chapter 1

Elijah sighed as he called his sister-in-law the woman who was running from her husband his little half brother but he needed her help

"What is it Elijah," Talia said with a sharp tone not wanting to talk as she was dealing with something

"I need your help, Talia," Elijah said

"I am busy right now Elijah, Klaus found where I am so I need to flee," Talia said

"Then meet me in Mystic Falls," Elijah said

"Fine I will be there tomorrow," Talia said with a sigh and hung up the phone

Elijah sighed knowing she will be mad at him for leading her to where Klaus will be next but he couldn't succeed without her by his side

*Flashback*

"Sister I can't marry Niklaus, he was in love with you," Talia said laying her head on her sister's lap

"Dear sister everything will be fine, I am sure he will learn to love you deeply as you will him, and you know that father won't go back on this deal with Mikael there is no changing his mind, mother has tried but he didn't listen and continued to plan the wedding with Mikael and Esther," Tatia said

Talia sighed and nodded "Did father say when the wedding was?" Talia asked

"In a week sister" Tatia answered

"Then I shall ignore Niklaus for a week until I must marry him and then ignore him more afterward, father never said I had to love him or even speak to him," Talia said

"Talie you can't do that, if you are to marry him then do so the right way don't ignore him, that would only hurt him more, I have already broken his heart don't do the same, now I am off to see Elijah behave, little sister," Tatia said and Talia nodded

"Fine Tatie I shall see you later," Talia said and Tatia left to meet Elijah

*Later On*

Niklaus sighed as he saw Talia walking in her families garden, he had decided that he should speak to her but didn't know how to do so

He shook his head and walked away from Talia without her knowing he was ever there in the first place

"Mother please you must change Father's mind, Talia does not wish to marry me," Niklaus said to his mother

Esther sighed "I am sorry Niklaus but there is no changing his mind along with Talia's father, they want you two to marry and you must, no matter if you want to or not," Esther said

Niklaus looked down and nodded "Of course mother, I must go, Rebekah wanted to go for a walk," Niklaus said leaving to meet his sister

"How do you feel about Talia Niklaus," Rebekah asked and Niklaus sighed

"I am in love with her Rebekah but she does not feel the same, she thinks I love her sister," Niklaus said

Rebekah looked at him sadly "I am sure if you speak to her she will understand" Rebekah said but Niklaus shook his head

"I spoke to Tatia and she said that Talia wanted to ignore me before and after the wedding so I don't think she will understand," Niklaus said sadly

"Come to Niklaus let's go back it is getting late," Rebekah said and they both walked back to see Talia and her father sitting with their parents

"Good Niklaus is here," Mikael said "Come sit boy," Mikael said

"Go to sleep Rebekah," Esther said and they did as their parents said

Niklaus looked at Talia with hope that she would look at him but she wouldn't

"Mikael and I have built a cottage for you two to stay in before the wedding," Talia's father said

Talia's head shot up in shock "No father" Talia started to say but he cut her off

"We are not starting this again Talia, you will marry this boy and you will be living with him"

She didn't say anything just stood up and walked out

Esther looked at Niklaus "Follow her Niklaus"

He nodded and did what his mother said to do

"Talia wait," Niklaus said and she turned around, They could barely see each other with it being dark outside

"What do you want," Talia said

He sighed "Talia I understand you don't want to marry but we have no say in the matter, and I want you to know that yes I was going after your sister but I do love you"

Talia shook her head "No you love Tatia I have seen the way you look at her" she sighed "Let's just get the marriage part over with and go back to the way things were before" Talia said and she walked to the cottage their father's built

He sighed and followed her into the home and he saw two rooms were meaning, in reality, they were to share one and their child would be in the other but he knew if she didn't want to marry him she wouldn't want children with him

He knew she wouldn't want to share a room so she was in one room and he was in the other so he sighed and went into the room she wasn't in
