 ERICA SATO WASN'T A SIDEKICK.

 For the Young Justice, that was uncommon. Most of its heroes came from the mentorship of someone from Justice League. Erica never got that—and she enived the sight of her friends bonding with someone older. As much as he was weird and aggressive, Erica found that in common with Conner Kent—hell, all he'd been wanting lately was approval from Superman. Erica gets it, she was like that with her parents. So, the two become a very unlikely pair. It's not like they really like each other, it's more so a place to go to vent, to spar, to sit and not talk. Just to have someone there. Erica did appreciate having someone who kind of understood her in a band of teenage superheroes.

 In Young Justice, Erica acted as Rogue. Having previously been The Hand to upkeep her family's tradition, she finally made the change once joining the team. It was fresh and new. Erica needed fresh and new. But, before she ever stepped foot into this whole world of ordered missions and leaderships, Erica had worked alone and went by her own law. Yeah, this was harder than she thought. But, she's trying her best and surprisingly, loving it. It all adds to her new way of life that she's started at a new school and made new friends, including the ones on the team.

 But, even as a crazy smart superhero, Erica is utterly oblivious to the fact that her fellow hero and science partner, Kid Flash—Wally West, has naturally fallen face first for her. As much as Erica doesn't notice his change of attitude around her, his constant glare towards Conner, and his closeness during hushed whispered questions in science, Erica finds herself harboring a what she thinks to be one sided crush to the speedster.

 This is a disaster (not an aster!).

 erica's powers are inspired by the glove asami sato wears in legend of korra—but here it's a prosthetic that can conjure electricty. a few chapters in, robin / batman gift her a better suit that basically enhances that ability, and in act two erica gets a sword / saber staff thing inspired by lightsabers and magik's sword from marvel / the x-men!
