Ok I hope this one adds a little more structure to the story as well as being a little more action packed and interesting lol! Hopefully my next update will be the last flashback part to the sequence and help reveal what actually happened to Ally's mate, so that the story will make a little more sense when I start writing in the presence tense of her life.

~Ally's POV~

*Flashback cnt.*

The pain had stopped just as suddenly as it had started. I was resting on my knees, on the floor between the bathroom and our room, my hands now lay besides me as I tried to control my breathing. After a few minutes I finally pulled myself up, with the help of the doorframe, and managed to get myself onto the bed before finally realising what had happened. It had been the strong emotions of my mate coming through our bonding link. However as for the pain I could only guess it was some of what he was experiencing. I had had this happen a few times before, the strong surge of emotions, but never the physical pain, emotional yes, but physical no and with that thought came a string of others, all fearing the worst. By the intensity I knew he was close by and the sudden cut off must have been him breaking our link so that I wouldn't experience his pain any longer, for that I am partially grateful, but also completely furious as my whole fibre of being is now swamped with the feeling of unease at now not being able to feel his connection with me. With him having broken our connection I can't ask him if he is alright, what's happening and more importantly where he is. I reached out with all I had and tried tapping at his mental wall, but he had it firmly shut.

I frantically got back to my feet, pushing myself from the bed as I scrambled to reach my draws and pull on some relatively warm clothes. I slipped on whatever I could find, along with some winter boots before quickly exiting our room, but not before glancing at the clock which read almost 1am. What would be happening at this time was beyond me, but I knew that I had to get there and help him. Sprinting through the deserted hallways and down to the foyer, I wasted no time to stop and ask others as I knew they would be less than helpful and most likely asleep. And so I relied only on my senses to try and locate him, the pull of our bond proving to be still of some help as it drew me closer to his presence. Once outside my attention was drawn to the trees and there was where I ran to, wishing more than ever for my wolf form.

As I ran a sense of dread overcame me, increasing further as I saw the tyre tracks leading from the drive into the trees, following the same path I was now heading down. The pull was stronger now, indicating his ever nearing presence and as I slowed down to a walk, I finally took the time to look around me. I was in the forest to the left of the main pack house; I hadn't been here that many times and so little here sparked any familiarity, causing me to just walk using my instincts. However having not shifted in such a long time due to the alphas law and my fathers part to play in it, my connection with my own wolf was not as strong as it should be, meaning those instincts I should possess are no longer something I can fully rely on. And so as I stumbled through the trees and undergrowth, refusing to put myself so out in the open on the path I could do little more than call for my mate with the hope of finding him.

"Tristan?" I called out somewhat sheepishly. The sun was now starting to rise, but the time was still considerably early and its rays had yet to cast its light onto the grounds before me, leaving the clearing as I approached it, in a shroud of darkness. Despite my enhanced vision I could still only make out a silhouette that stood a mere few metres away, or should I say silhouettes. I brought in a shaky breath as I embraced my wolf more than before in an attempted to increase my instinctual senses, but continue to remain in my human form. I took a step forward and the frost ridden grass crunched under my weight as I paused from the sounds and scents that now consumed my dulled senses.
