elaria smiled down at her laptop as she loaded up minecraft. it wasn't preferable that she was playing on a laptop while sitting on a hotel bed, but it was the best she could do.
a ding from her phone brought her attention from the loading screen. toby was inviting her to a discord call. it showed two other people in the call. she recognized the names almost immediately. jack was the one who had invited her and tommy was the rude boy in her comments.she pressed the accept button.
"GOOD SHIT TOBY!" an excited voice rang out as soon as she connected to the call. she let out a high-pitched giggle.
"great first impression tom." toby mumbled, although elaria could recognize the smug tone in his voice. he obviously just won something.
"yeah thomas, great way to greet the lady." another voice joined the banter.
"it's jack by the way."
"i'm elaria!"
"that sounds like a weird fucking elf name."
"really tom?" toby scolded and elaria let out an uneasy laugh.
"jesus thomas, she's been here two seconds." jack joined in.
"she's an american woman. what did you expect?" tommy said, his voice thick with annoyance.
elaria shook her head to herself, but couldn't help but wonder what was up this guy's ass. she had just met him and he seemed to be a close friend of tobys. she couldn't place how they were so close as the two of them seemed totally different. toby was very pleasant and loving, but this tommy guy was a whole different story.
"so if i was british you wouldn't be a complete dick?"
"probably not. you're still a girl."
"good god tom, quit being sexist." jack laughed through the phone.
"elaria? are you loaded in?"
"yeah, i am. tobs invite me! hypixel server, right?"
"yeah, ill invite you."
"tobs? what kind of fucking nickname is that?"
"it's literally his name but instead of the y its an s" elaria snapped as the invite showed up on her screen. she clicked it and the server loaded.
"i like the nickname tommy."
"you fucking simp."
"shut the fuck up tom." jack laughed
"okay, jackmanifoldtv." tom grumbled with a laugh.
elaria turned her focus to the game. she had been playing minecraft since she was young, but she only got into the competitive side when she met toby online.
"bedwars? for old times sake, tobs?"
"of course!" toby let out an excited giggle.
"you still remember how we met?"
"you guys met playing bedwars?" tommy questioned
