I know that you're worried about the final event of the Triwizard Tournament. From what I've gathered, it shouldn't be as dangerous as the first two tasks. Hopefully this will reassure you at least a little bit. I promise I'll be okay, darling.
I don't think I'm going to win, honestly, I think that Harry Potter bloke is probably going to win. I don't really mind if it's him or me as long as Hogwarts is winning. Besides, just looking at you is a prize in itself.
I know you probably rolled your eyes a little bit at that, but it's true. You're beautiful, Maylin. I'm sorry I couldn't spend as much time with you recently, or I would have told you that myself. Instead I'm writing this, hoping you hear what I'm saying. I will be with you soon, though. Promise.
I've got an idea. When I return from the final task, we can have a nice picnic in the courtyard and look at the stars together. You've been so supportive through the whole tournament that preparing a nice date is the least I could possibly do to thank you.
