Astrids POV
The first thing a heard in the morning was Blank space by Taylor Swift singing from my phone. I looked at the time, 5:49 a.m.
My name is Astrid Hofferson, I have just moved from New York to LA over the summer. I hated that we had to move! I left all my friends back in New York... I picked up my phone and opened Facebook, everyone had updated their statuses to "Excited for 2nd year of High school!!"
I'm starting the 2nd year of high school... "Great!" I though ironically, I didn't want to go to high school, I will be alone! I don't know anyone! I will be the "new" girl, I'm definitely not excited..
I got out of bed and took a long hot shower, 20 minutes later I got out and dried my hair and put it up in i high pony tail with a small braid on the right side. I opened my closet and dressed in a blue t-shirt with a white print on it that says hello on the front and goodbye on the back and light blue worn jeans. I run down to the kitchen were my mom waited for me.
"Good morning sunshine" my mom says. My mom is always happy, that's one thing I love about her.
"Good morning mom" I said
Mom made pancakes to the breakfast and danced around to the music from the radio, as usual
"Mom, what happened?" I asked
"Nothing, why do you ask?" she answered
"Well the last time you made me pancakes to breakfast you told me that we would move.."
"Well my job gave me a day of so why not doing something nice for you!"
I sat down at the table, and looked sad
"Look Astrid, I know this is hard for you but your dads job is important" she said
"I know.. but, what if I don't fit in.. What if they are mean?, then I'm gonna be alone"
"Your not gonna be alone, you're gonna find great friends" she said and hugged me
She gave me the pancakes, I L-O-V-E pancakes it's the best food I have ever eaten
15 minutes later I ran out to the hall and put on my blue converses and grabbed my bag and left.
When I came out saw the bus come towards me.
Now school real..
