before we start

hello lovely people !
i'm just gonna cover some things quickly before we start.

i - this fanfiction is an x reader but (y/n) will not be used as i feel it can break immersion.
ii - this is all based off the movie grease, not the musical.
iii - it'll all be written in lowercase.
iv - the main character (you) just moved from australia like sandy did in the movie.
v - rizzo has a girlfriend in this story. why? 'cause my friend wanted it and i thought it would be a fun twist. their relationship is a secret to everyone but the pink ladies & t-birds. they may also deal with some homophobia but i'll put some type of warning if any chapter deals with that.

here's a quick run down of the plot :

a few months ago in may, you were forced to move from australia to america with your older brother, joey. your best friend, sandy olsson was also forced to make this move with her family. now you're both in a new town about to start senior year at rydell high. sandy has been talking nonstop about a summer fling she had with some random boy on the beach. you wonder if you'll ever meet someone. maybe rydell will make you meet some unexpected people
