Y/n: Ok time to get back to Tanjiro

Y/n runs to where Tanjiro is as fast as he can

Y/n: Hey Tanjiro! I cut my boulder!

Tanjiro: I cut mine too!

Urokodaki walks up to Y/n and Tanjiro

Urokodaki: I had no intention of sending any of you to the final selection.

Y/n: Why?

Urokodaki: I didn't want to see children die anymore. I was sure you two wouldn't be able to slice your boulders but...

Urokodaki pats Y/n and Tanjiro's heads

Urokodaki: Well done boys. You two are truly remarkable.

Tanjiro starts to cry whilst Y/n smiles

Y/n: Took you long enough to realise!

Urokodaki: Make sure to come back from the final selection. Your sister and I will be waiting for both of your arrivals

The 3 walk back to their home and Urokodaki cooks a load of food

Tanjiro: Why are you making so much food?

Y/n: Well since we completed our training it's a cause for a celebration I'm guessing

Urokodaki: Don't be shy, eat up

Y/n and Tanjiro eat their food, after they finish they start to cut their hair

Urokodaki: Tanjiro, Y/n

Y/n shoots a thumbs up

Tanjiro: I haven't had such a feast in so long!

Urokodaki: They could even have evil spells. They call them Blood Demon Arts.

Urokodaki gets out a mask for Tanjiro

Urokodaki: Tanjiro when your sense of smell becomes keener you'll be able to smell how many humans a demon has devoured.

Urokodaki hands the mask to Tanjiro

Tanjiro: What is this?

Urokodaki: That's a warding mask. I've put a spell on it to protect you from harm

Y/n: Do I get one?

Urokodaki: Y/n...

Y/n: Yeah?

Urokodaki: You don't need my protection

The next day

Tanjiro puts on his haori that Urokodaki gave him and walks into the room where Nezuko has been sleeping

Tanjiro: Nezuko...

Y/n: She'll be fine. I bet she'll wake up when we get back

Tanjiro: How would you know?

Y/n: Just a feeling

Tanjiro: Hopefully you are right...

Urokodaki: I'll take good care of her. Just worry about your test
