9. Allure

The next morning.

Author-nim's P.O.V.

"Are you sure you're feeling better, Appa?" Jin video calls his father as he cooks breakfast for him and Jimin.

"Yes I am, Jinnie. I can even go jogging outside now." His Appa said while smiling widely on Jin's phone screen. "What are you cooking? Have you been eating well?"

"Ha ha, very funny! Please get as much rest as you can. So you'll be ready for the next session. You should be the one to eat well, ok?

These are just bacons and eggs for me and Jimin before we go to work. You remember him from high school, right?"

"Yes. Your aunt told me he's the one who helped you with the money and your new job. Is he the reason why you broke up with Kook?" Jin's father asked curiously.

He hasn't talked with Jin that much before he left since he was still weak from the treatments. But now that he's regain a bit of strength, he'd like to check on his son if all is okay. He wouldn't want him to sacrifice a lot just for his medications.

He noticed that Jin's face fell a bit before he talked. "No, he's not the reason. I told Jungkook I just had to focus here more. So we need to take a break. I'm okay Appa, don't worry about that, huh?" Jin forced a smile.

"You should've just talked about it a bit more, instead of breaking up suddenly. He was here yesterday to visit me. And he said he'll give me a ride when I get discharged tomorrow.

He's always been good, I'm sure he will understand you. And he trusts you. You don't have a thing going on with that new friend of yours, do you?" Jin's Appa raised his eyebrow.

"Appa, I sent some allowance money to Aunt Jisu. Use that to rent a car. Don't burden Kook anymore. You're not making it easy for him too.

And no, Jimin is just a friend. I just really need to focus more with this new job. We've talked about it Appa. Please don't get bothered by it anymore, huh pls?"

Jimin has been staring at Jin from the door of the kitchen, concerned while biting his lips, before he walk in cheerfully and greeted him,

"Good morning Jinnie! Hmm, that smells good!! Oh are you on a call?!"

"Ah yes, good morning Chim! Here, this is my father. Appa, this is Jimin." Jin showing his phone to Jimin.

"Hello Sir! How are you? I'm Park Jimin!" Jimin waving happily to the screen.

"Hello Jimin-ssi. I'm doing well now, thank you for your help. I hope you take care of my son as well." Jin's appa flashed a smile to him which made Jimin smile more.

"Yes Sir, of course! I promise to take care of him all the time. Please get well soon so he won't worry much."

"Ahh yes, yes. I will, thank you. Now, go and eat your breakfast. You wouldn't want to be late on your work. I love you Jinnie."

"Ok, see you later. Love you too!"

Jin and Jimin finished their breakfast and quickly dressed up - Jimin in a powder blue Thom Browne pullover with black skinny jeans and his favorite Dr. Martens boots.

While Jin is color-twinning with him on his simple but drop-dead gorgeous look of Givenchy t-shirt, acid-wash ripped jeans and his new St. Laurent mid-top sneakers.

Both put on a Balenciaga cap to low-key hide their godly faces, then they head into the office in one of Jimin's sports car.

Jimin showed Jin around the building first before taking him into the runway training room.
