26. Love Affair

It was painful for Jungkook to endure watching the man he has loved and cared for so long being kissed by someone else in front of him.

When Jungkook thought he's the very first to kiss those lips, the first to caress his skin and the first to claim his whole being - but now, he is being touched by someone but him.

Jin's appa cleared his throat as he already saw Jungkook frozen at what's happening in front of them.

So Taehyung pulled back and smiled at Jin, "Sorry about that. I just missed you, baby. I was telling your appa and your aunt here that I was supposed to come with you yesterday but I had a meeting. So I thought I would just surprise you today."

Jin was totally flustered but he smiled at him, "I- well I was really surprised, Tae. You drove on your own. So you've met my appa and aunt Jisu."

Taehyung nodded, "Yup. And oh, hello! Let me help with those." He turned to Jungkook who's standing behind Jin and took the grocery bags from his hands.

"Are you the family driver, perhaps?" Taehyung asked Jungkook then he walked over to the table and placed the grocery bags there.

Jin's eyes went wide and noticed that Jungkook is already biting the insides of his cheek.

"I-- no, Tae. He is uhm--"

"He is Jungkook. He was Jin's boyfriend before he moved to Seoul." Jin's appa spoke.

Taehyung stopped in his tracks and turned around to face them, "Boyfriend?!"

"Was, Tae. Appa said he was. He's my ex." Jin said staring at Taehyung's dark gaze towards him.

"Ahh. Your ex? And you just went grocery shopping with your ex?!" Taehyung asked while walking towards Jin, but his eyes are now on Jungkook.

"I asked for Jungkook's help, as Jin does not have a car. And we have scheduled beforehand for Jungkook to come over today and give us a hand with making some kimchi. I hope you don't mind, Taehyung." Jin's appa once again said, trying to ease the tension in the room.

Taehyung sighed deep then turned to Jin's appa, "Sure, I don't mind, Mr. Kim. It's just a small thing, I understand.

..Baby, I guess next time it's better you just bring and drive the car I bought for you. If you don't want to drive long, you can always ask me to get you a driver, you know that right? That way, you won't need someone else's help anymore." Taehyung told Jin while he squeezed Jin's hand gently.

"Mr. Kim, it's better that I should go. Please rest well. Aunt Jisu, see you again soon." Jungkook said bowing at them. He just wants to quickly get out of the house as he doesn't know for how long he can still take this situation.

"But-- isn't it already planned that you come over as Mr. Kim has said? You should stay, Jungkook-ssi. I'm sure Jin won't mind too, right baby?" Taehyung turned to Jin.

Jin is puzzled at what Taehyung is playing at. But he turned around to Jungkook and said,

"Kook, actually when I heard from appa that you're joining us, I called Hobi and asked him and Yoongi to come over. So, if you just feel like it, maybe you could stay until they get here? But I would totally underst--"

"Great! There are more old friends coming. That sounds good! So yeah, I think you should stay Jungkook-ssi!" Taehyung exclaimed.

Jungkook excused himself to use the bathroom while the others are preparing the things they will use for making kimchi at the backyard.

As Jungkook faced the mirror, tears instantly streamed down his face. It never occurred to him that Jin is already in a new relationship.
