Eventually Tom also enters the sea. I do the first steps a few times and then it was his turn. He fell, often. But the more he did it, the better he got at it. We laughed so much. We had so much fun. Also Tom. I can see that he really needed this. He was often busy with his job at first, which I understand. He looks a bit more open now than before. He tells a little bit more.

We talked about our lives through surfing, including his. That was very nice. We went back to the wooden hut one more time to have a drink. Kai had set that up for us. Super sweet. Every now and then I walk him along the beach and enjoy the nice weather.

Now we are on our surfboard, on the water watching the sunset. There is still a little breeze. I look at the sky and see many colors coming together. Pink, red, yellow, orange and light blue. It was beautiful. I look next to me and see Tom with a smile on his face.

"Do you still regret it?" He turns his head to me when I said that. He has curls in his hair because it is damp. And 1 piece of hair hangs over his forehead.

"No, not at all." he said with a laugh. "How did I do it?" He giggled.

I chuckle. "You were terrible." I joked.

"Oh really." He replies with his eyebrow raised.

"Yep, worst yet." I nodded with a smile.

"You are going to regret saying that." he said as he splashed a wave of water at me. He laughs. My mouth was open because of the surprise. But seconds later I did the same thing, only to Tom. We burst out laughing and a water fight ensued.

With my hand on the doorknob and my other hand on the door frame, I close the door. A smile appears on my face. There is a silence. I just got back from the beach. The sound of the waves still rustles in my ear. It's heavenly. I turn around, walk to my bed and plop on it so that I look at the ceiling. I sigh and let go of my thoughts of today.

"Surfing was fun, huh?"

"Omg!" I was shocked and sat up straight in bed. He starts laughing. "you scared the hell out of me!" I see my brother with a grin on his face.

He stands in the corner of my room leaning against the wall. JJ just turned 16. We used to argue a lot, but as we get older and when Mom died, we've grown closer. He also likes to surf. We used to surf with the three of us. Mom, JJ and me.

"How did you get you in here?" I asked.

"Oh just-" he answered.

"The door was locked!" I said in a slightly louder voice.

"Y/n those locks are just as old as this house."

"So?!" I tried to get more out of his mouth. JJ shrugs. I sigh and throw a pillow at him but he throws it right back. He laughs. I chuckle

"You're an idiot!" I said.

"Now tell me what you were doing on the beach with your bodyguard." He asked.

"How did you know that?" I asked surprised.

"Just tell me." he said curiously.

"You're going to tell me first where you get that info from! Then I think about talking."

"You haven't seen?" he said with a look I couldn't place in my mind. "It's all over social media and the news. The whole internet is exploding." He said as if I should know that.

"Oh shit." I fall back on my back. Paparazzi photos have surfaced. When I think about that I think about him again. I just can't keep him out of my mind. It's nice, but also frustrating.

"Tell me, I'm waiting." said JJ. I say nothing. "Come on y/n. I haven't seen you this happy since mom passed away. Tell me what's going on here."

"We are not going to have this conversation." I sit up and walk over to JJ. I drag him by the shoulders to the door.

"Oh no." he chuckles. "I already know- "

"-no you don't." I said right after him.

I open the door and 'push' him out of my room. He turns and wants to say something but I already close the door.
