She put her phone in her pocket and looked around. A few bookcases had fallen over. She sat, what Tom said, behind a bookcase so you can't see her when you walk in. She makes herself small and waits for Tom who hopefully finds her soon.

Tom was walking down the hall with his gun in his sweaty hands. He moves very slowly. Step by step he comes closer to the library. Then he hears 2 men talking. In a flash he saw the 2 men coming out of a corner. He quickly dives into a room just in time for them to see him. With a pounding heart, he stays as still as possible, so quiet that he could follow their conversation.

"Dylan told us." Said one.

"I know, but is JJ not enough to convince the president?"

"Look man if you just do what he told us to do, that would be great."

"I thing this is wrong dude-"

"Find y/n, give her to Dylan, then he can do what he wants to do and then you get your money and then it's over. Done, okay? I'll start down here. Check every room, she can't be far."

"Got it."

When Tom heard her name in the conversation, his heart pounded even louder. This can not be true! Very carefully Tom looked around the corner and saw that one disappeared into the stairwell. The other started with the first room. The library.

"Fuck, get outta there mate." he whispered. Very quickly he moved to the room and saw the man disappear into the doorway.

Y/n on the other hand heard a door creak. Is that Tom she thinks. But then she hears a gun loading. And books that get kicked over. It seems like he is looking for something. Very slowly she moves her head to the edge of the bookcase and doesn't see Tom. No, she sees a completely different person who doesn't belong there. She quickly dives back behind the bookcase just in time. She hears footsteps approaching. She became more and more afraid. She hoped so much that Tom would come in now. But it didn't happen. The man came closer and closer. Y/n made herself small, preparing for what is to come.

Bang

A gunshot went off. A small scream left her mouth. She heard someone fall to the ground. She looked next to her and saw the same man, on the ground, shot. She got up and saw him.

She said with a cracked voice holding back her tears: "Tom."

"Hey" he said out of breath.

She didn't hesitate for a second and gave him a hug. She leaned her head against Tom's chest. He put his hand on her head to feel her beautiful hair and his other hand on her back to hold her. Tom finely found her.

"I was so scared." she sighed.

"Are you hurt?" Tom said before pulling the hug.

"No, just a few scratches, that's all." she answered. "And you?" she said shyly.

"Yeah I'm good." he nodded.

"What's going on?" she asked.

"Honestly I don't know. I was waiting for you when it happened. The last thing I know is that they're holding the White House under hostage. On my way to you, they hacked into the system and locked all doors. No one can get in or out anymore." he looks at the ground.

"Where are all the security guards then?" she asked concerned.

"They have been taken down. As long as I know, I'm the only one who survived and still is in the White House. But contact has been broken with most secret service agents. Every man in this building is dangerous. If you come across them, you're done. I don't know what their motto is here, but the longer we stay here, the more dangerous it gets." He let a hand slide through his hair as he said the last sentence. He finds it difficult to tell y/n this but there is no other way.

Then came the question that Tom had already expected: "where's JJ? Is my dad okay?" she said concerned, afraid for the answer.

Tom looked deep into y/n's eyes. "Your dad is fine." he said. "He was already outside the house when the attack happened."

"And JJ?" She asked.

"I don't know anything about him. They lost contact with Hemsworth a few minutes ago."

"Can you ask them? You have contact with Lisa right?"

"Yeah, they've been asking all the time if you're with me yet." A small smile leaves his mouth. The same does y/n.

"Then why don't you answer?" she asked sweetly.

"Because I just wanted to talk to you, they don't need all the attention." Tom said.

Did he say that correctly, y/n thinks. Her stomach turned when he said that to her.

'I just wanted to talk to you'

He really said it.
"Yeah I'm with her." Answered Tom Lisa's question. "She wants to know where JJ is. Have you contacted them yet?"

"Jyeesh Tom finally and no, we have no contact yet. We did saw, bc of his location tracer, that they are at the bunker, so they would have made it."

"Okay, I'll pass on."

Y/n was anxiously waiting for the answer. Nerves race through her body. But it went away when Tom told her they would be fine.

"And now?" Add y/n.

"We have to get to the basement. There is a long, concrete tunnel that lies under the white house. At the end there is a staircase that leads to a grid that you can slide away. It's a long way to go especially with the types walking around here. But we are going to try." Answer Tom. "We have no other choice." He admits.

Y/n swallows, by the idea. But she trusted Tom to get her out safely. I'll be fine, she thinks. I'm sure it will be fine.

"Do everything I say, okay? And follow me as close as possible."

"understood." She nodded, still in fear.

"It will be fine y/n." Said Tom, knowing she's scared. "It'll be fine."
