Lilies Walking

Gryffindor

A tall boy was calling out to the first years just like Hagrid had done.
"Come on, first years, lets go!" His deep voice called. All the Gryffindor first years started walking with him. We made our way down the great hall to the entrance hall then crossed over to the entrance hall then up several floors until we made it to a lot of criss crossing staircases. When we all went up one then the boy called out. "Watch out for these staircases they like to move." write after he said that they did. I was stuck between fear and amazement. The staircase jerked and then started to move to another landing. It looked like the staircases went on forever and I wouldn't be surprised if they did. He took us behind a tapestry where a hall full of pictures hung on the stone walls. We did not walk far when he stopped in front of a picture of a fat lady in a pink frilly dress.
"Password?" She asked.
"Babbity Rabbity," He said. "Make sure to remember that, it is the password for the next month." The portrait swung open and revealed a huge commun room full of squishy arm chairs, tables and several fire places. It had several patriots hanging on the walls. "Fun facts, after Hogwarts was destroyed in the Battle of Hogwarts, it magically rebuilt itself but made more space inside the castle dorms." The boy told us. "Now over there are the boys' dormitories up and down." He said pointing to a staircase to the right of a large table. "And those are the girls up and down." He pointed to the right of the table. "You will all be at the top floor of your dormitories. Now goodnight." He gestured for us to go up the dormitories so we did. We walked up the spiral staircase that had several landings but we kept climbing until we made it to the top which was very cold and had a trap door above it. Then the trap door magically opened and a ladder came out. I climbed up with the other girls. I was amazed at how cool our dormitories were. It was a huge circular room with skinny tall windows on either side of each bed. There were small wood dressers beside each four poster bed. But the really amazing thing is all the furniture was made to fit in a perfect circle. When I finished looking around the room I saw that there were three separate screens to change behind.
"Which one is mine." Sara Parker asked. A mouse faced girl with sandy brown hair.
"Let's just look for our things." Vivian said. I found mine instantly by the sight of Fawkes. The windows near my bed were facing the lake and the other towers. I was right next to Vivian. I unpacked which wasn't too hard because my things were already sorted. I changed into my nightgown and crawled into bed. Then as I lay down all the happenings of last night filled my mind. The warning from Dumbledore and then what the hat said. I wasn't scared because I haven't been affected by any of it yet. I only got a weird note and a bird.
