Sorry for the short chapter— haven't been feeling like writing.. or doing anything.

|| Eric third POV ||

There was a long silence in the room. One of which you would enter at a wrong time and regret ever walking into the room— that's the type of pressure Eric felt, With the two staring at him he only had two options. One; Out himself and hope they weren't homophobic but also wouldn't tell anyone— Something he hasn't even done to his closet friend or even his family yet. Two; Be homophobic himself and possibly lose Callum in his life but also be treated like an asshole by callum for the rest of the school year.

"I don't really have an opinion on.. gay people." Eric said blowing off the question.

There was a large part of him that just wanted to out himself— Wanted to shout all of his secrets to Callum. 'How would he react? How would he look at me after?' He questioned. "Me too," Emily smiled at Eric breaking the silence. With that Callum didn't ask anymore questions, everything went how it was but there was still some small tension between the two for the next 40 minutes before Eric went home.

The next day, It repeated itself like it always did. The same speech from coach about Eric's body gaining weight, the same boring lessons in his classes— the same aching feeling in his lower half from sitting in a hard plastic chair all day. The day seem to be going to perfect— "Hey Eric," One of the boys said in the locking room.

Eric turned his head— Jason lee. One of the newer members of the football team, He was an easy-going guy with decent looks.

Eric and him wasn't ever really close— Jason had already tried to get friendly with the boy a couple of times but Eric just kinda dismissed it. Why? He didn't really know the reason either, There was something off putting about Jason. Something that told him he would play telephone if you started telling him secrets. Or would turn and run when things got bad.

He already had Jay to worry about— And he would rather Jay in his current situation. If Eric was to get into a fight of some kind he knew Jay would be at his side, And if Eric told him something secret (that would fit in the fake personality and character he's put on since knowing Jay) he knew Jay wouldn't tell a soul.

"Hey, Jason. What's up?" Eric said, friendly like he always greeted his fellow teammates.

Jason had a distress look on his face. He was shorter then Eric, and from the eye he looked kinda skinny and slender— "Hey do you have time to talk?" He asked, Almost having practiced the line over and over in his head.

Eric had to go help his mother with his siblings right after school because she needed to go shopping— His father was busy and his older siblings at college, He didn't want to stress out his mother or make things hard for her mostly with hanging out with Callum and Emily the other day. The offer was very tempting to deny but for some reason his gut was telling him he better listen to what Jason had to say, Maybe it being because Jason never came and asked something like this from the boy.

"Yeah." Eric sighed, "Make it quick though."

|| CALLUM'S THIRD POV ||

"Something just doesn't sit right with me," Callum said to Emily— slamming his locker shut. He threw his bag over his back before facing Emily once again, She was looking at him in disbelief like she was annoyed by conversation they was sharing.

Confronting Eric and coming up with a half-assed answer didn't really sit right with Callum— He didn't think Eric would physically do anything to a gay person but who knows what he would do online? You didn't need to attack someone mentally or physically to be homophobic either. That's what scared Callum, He would rather Eric just be one of those douche bag homophobias then a quiet one attacking from the sidelines or a fake ally befriending homophobic people.

"Just when I started to like him too.." Callum murmur to himself.

"You have a shitty taste in men-" Emily joked. Hitting Callum shoulder with hers, "But I don't think Eric's a bad guy. I mean he's on the football team for crying out loud, supporting the lgbtq could get him jumped!"

The two turned the corner together— Just a few feet away from them was a fast waking Eric. Emily went for a wave and a nice smile like she had always done with people she was close to, Eric was also a friendly type person. Always greeting and greeting back, But today he didn't— he didn't smile, He didn't really pay much attention to the them. To callum, it frustrated callum in some strange way.

Surprisingly, Under Eric's breathe he murmured "Can't talk right now" and quickly stormed by the two.

The two stoped and looked into Eric's direction for a few seconds. There was long and cold chill that ran down Callum's back, The type of uncomfortable feeling he had felt before in a bad situation. He liked hanging around Eric because the blonde boy made him feel comfortable, 'what could shift his emotions- no his whole vibe like that?' Callum wondered.

He looked over at Emily who showed the same nervousness and uncomfortableness. Her body hung motionless but begging to move to Eric's direction— Like flashbacks before death she pictured what was the ending result of the last time she had this feeling, so did Callum.

And for both— it didn't end pretty.
