brynns pov today, jaden and josh are coming to adopt a pig with me. it was originally supposed to be something i would bring home as surprise, but i realized it would be more fun to go as a group. nessa was also supposed to come, but a meeting came up and i couldn't reschedule the getting the pig. we bad a two hour drive to get to the place where the pigs are, and i've decided to name the pig i get violet to go with my dog blue back home in canada.
"look, we're here!" i cheer as josh pulls into the house.
"yay! that was a long drive of listening to brynn's music," jaden jokes and i glare at him. "love youuu," he smiles.
"i love you too i guess," i jokingly roll my eyes.
we all get out of the car and jaden knocks on the door. the lady who i talked to on the phone answers. "hello, you must be brynn," she smiles at me. she's a sweet old lady who happens to have a family of pigs.
"i am, and you must be ms. williams," i put my hand out, shaking her hand. "these are my best friends, josh and jaden."
"yes, nice to meet you kids, come in!" ms. williams opens the door and we walk in. "the pigs are in the back, come out."
the three of us follow her into the backyard and i'm immediately filled with joy.
"AWWWW!" i squeal when i see the pigs. i immediately run over and start to pet them.
"i gotta say, as much as i didn't want a pig, they are pretty damn cute," jaden smiles and comes to play with them.
"yeah i'm with jaden," josh agrees and does the same.
"i knew seeing them would convince y'all," i smile.
"these are the piglets, they're all very young still so be careful with them, and whichever one you want is yours," ms. williams says to us and we all nod in agreement.
i pick one up and she immediately sinks into my arms. i think i'm in love. "this is her. this is the one," i decide immediately.
"awww she's cute," jaden smiles and i nod.
"that was a quick descison," josh laughs.
"it was love at first sight, i just know she's the one," i beam.
"good choice, my eye went to her first too," jaden agrees.
"ahh you chose her, i've noticed that she pees the most out of all of them. if that's not a problem, perfect," ms. williams tells us.
both josh and jaden's eyes widen.
"oh that's definitely not a problem," i say, earning a glare from josh and a howl of laughter from jaden. "love y'all too," i smile. "how much is she exactly?"
"$950," she says.
"wait what," josh's eyes now almost bulge out of his head.
"i did research, that's on the higher end of the cost spectrum but it just means that they're a quality breed from a good bloodline," i explain.
"exactly right," ms. williams said.
"here josh can you get the money out of my wallet," i motion towards my purse which i can't get to right now because of the pig in my arms. he takes out nine $100 bills, two $20 bills, and a 10 and hands them to ms. williams.
"thank you so much ms. williams," i say.
"of course sweetie, i hope you have fun with her. make sure to grab the bag of her things in the front yard," she says with a warm smile.
"we will!" i say as we all get up to go back to the car.
"thank you!" josh calls.
"thank you!" jaden calls as well.
"you said her name's gonna be violet right?" josh asks, picking up the bag of supplies and i nod.
"violet kennedy. to go with blue kennedy. blue and violet, isn't that dope?" i ask and jaden nods.
"i want to meet blue," he says.
josh lets out a loud laugh. "trust me, you don't. blue wants to murder everyone that isn't either brynn or her parents."
"true," i laugh. "but she's still my baby, now along with violet."
