"So, Skylar tomorrow is your last day and I want to talk to you before you go." I said as Skylar sat on her bed.

"What is it newbie?"

"Er, well it's about Teddy. I wanna make sure he's okay and well I need to know more about him, can you help?"

"No, it's ridiculous, just go talk to him. Teddy is like the nicest person I know, he's been there for me when no one else has. Not even my parents, so he's special, he will talk to you if he wants to, but try at least."

"I do try, not going to lie, it's a tough task."

"Look. I can't be dealing with you. We aren't friends." I furrowed my eyebrows and stared at the pretty girl with brown locks.

"Ouch." I walked toward the door. "Bye then."

Libby and Amber were in my dorm, they'd snuck snacks up so we had a few bland chocolate bars and nutrients bars or whatever, and one big bag of tortilla chips. We tucked in and as it was Thursday, lessons finished early. "Skylar is a bitch." I said when we'd all quietened down.

"Apparently she is just misunderstood." Libby said.

"Well I was tryna help her best friend and she just refused, I don't get it."

"She is probably just angry, she doesn't like her parents and she's going back to them in Newcastle tomorrow." Amber inputted.

"Yes, but still, why be rude about it."

"Who knows."

We continued eating before I felt a vibration in my back pocket. I pulled out the phone and saw a notification. From Teddy.

From Teddy;

S.O.S.

The message seemed straightforward, I didn't even think about it, I just jumped up off the bed and rushed out the door. Teddy's room was close, I opened the door and the room was empty. I looked around, there was only one bed, meaning he had a single room, a desk was located in the far corner which was covered in a lot of stuff. I walked toward it and stared at a piece of paper that stood out. It read: ROOM 25 BLOCK E- T.

I ran upstairs and saw room 25, the door was closed and no noise was coming from it, I steadily walked toward it and placed my hand on the doorknob, twisted it and pushed.

Teddy was kneeling down, his chin must have been touching his chest. I heard faint sobs. "Teddy!"

"Nora."

"Is everything okay?"

"Come here." His Irish accent was husky, as though he had been crying. I walked over to him. From over his shoulder I could tell he was clutching a piece of paper. I took it from his hand and read it in my head.

Dearest Teddy;

I'm sorry I couldn't tell you sooner, it was a shock to me too, but I had to leave right after I had a conversation with Nora. She's a nice lass, you should get to know her, she seems to care. And when you get the chance tell her I'm sorry for what I said, it's just I couldn't deal with the fact I was leaving so suddenly.

You're an amazing person Teddy, and I love you. I would try get myself back into Greystone, but I'm 18 now and we'll it'll be proper rehab or even prison next time. Look after yourself and let Nora help you, if anything happened to you, I won't be able to cope.

Stay strong for me, but most importantly for yourself.

I re-read the letter a couple more times and by the third time reading tears had fallen from my eyes. "Teddy I'm so sorry. I had no idea."

"It's okay, it's just-" Teddy stood up and turned around so his body was inches from mine.

"Just what?" I whispered. He suddenly wrapped his arms around my body and squeezed tightly. I hugged back and rubbed his back for comfort.

"I didn't get to say goodbye, Nora. I didn't say goodbye."

"It's okay, Teddy. She understands yeah. Why don't you come to my dorm and eat some snacks the girls stole. It'll take your mind of it."

"It's okay, I'm going to go speak to Nate."

"Good idea." He let go and walked out of the bare room.

I went back to my dorm after wiping away the tears. Libby and Amber will probably ask where I was, but I won't tell them, this is for Teddy to tell them. "Hey, I was in the bathroom if you was wondering."

"You okay, you was gone a while."

"I'm fine, it's just this building is still quite confusing to navigate."

"Well, before Libby eats everything, take some food." I smiled at Amber and ate some chips.

From Teddy;

Thanks. For that hug. I needed it.

To Teddy;

It's okay, I'm here for you. Anytime.

From Teddy;

Thank you :) I appreciate it. Can I meet you later, at dinner maybe.

To Teddy;

That sounds epic, I'll be there at the start of dinner. :)

He didn't reply, but I smiled. I was glad he wanted to talk. "What you smiling about?" Libby asked.

"Oh, nothing." I lied, while eating more chips.
