(Phil's POV)

I immediately ran into my room and slammed the door behind me. Leaning back against the door only Dan filled my mind. I slid down the door with a millions questions running through my head: 'Why did he want to know my name?' 'Why didn't he yell at me for running into him?' 'Who is he exactly?' 'Where is he from?' 'Does he go to my school?'

"It seemed like he actually wanted to talk to me..." I whispered to myself while standing up and walking over to my bed. I closed my eyes and tried to remember every detail about him.

Suddenly, I heard the front door shut and I went downstairs to greet my big brother. "Hey Martyn," I said while walking into the living room. A tall 6'3 man covered in sweat and grease stared back at me. He smiled and greeted me back.

Martyn works two jobs, an assistant at an auto-shop and at a gas station. Both don't really pay well but its enough to keep a roof over our heads. We need as much money as we can get. Our home is a run down apartment with two rooms, one bathroom, kitchen, and a living room. But we live in a house that has apartments built into it.

"So how was school?" He asked me while walking into the kitchen. Martyn absentmindedly stared down at his phone while reaching into random cupboard.

I thought about today at school. How it went exactly the way I expected it to. Zero friends to talk to, forced to walk alone and suffer in silence. With nothing but my own cruel thoughts to keep me company. But then I thought about the boy I met on the way home. How he actually seemed to care. I smiled.

"I...I met someone today." I stated while staring into space, thinking back to the events that happened with the big brown eyed boy. Dan. I caught myself smiling and stopped to look at Martyn, who was stuffing his face with a pop tart.

"That's cool." Martyn replied nonchalantly, barely listening. I frowned at his lack of attention.

But before I could say anything Martyn stood up, grabbed his keys, and headed for the door.

"Woah woah wait!" I called in confusion, "where are you going? You literally just got here."

"Sorry man. My shift at the gas station starts in ten minutes. See you tonight." And then he was gone again. I sighed. Martyn was well aware he doesn't come home until after I'm asleep. I was alone again.

Walking back up the stairs, I couldn't help but think about Dan again. 'I wonder if I'll ever see him again.'

I laid down on my bed and fell to sleep with nothing but Dan Howell on my mind.

(Dan's POV)

I continued down the street after watching Phil walk home.

'He was wearing a school uniform,' I thought in my head while shoving my hands deep into my pockets. 'So maybe I'll see him again, if I get enrolled into his school that is.'

I walked past the house that Phil entered and looked at the front door. There were several mailboxes by the door. I stood and stared, wondering which apartment was his.

Phil left as quickly as he came and gave me nothing but his name and a mystery as to why he was crying. 'I'll definitely see him again, he lives right down the street from me.' I smirked.

"Dan!" I turned my head to see my mother waving her hand at me from our driveway. "Time to come home!"

With an inner sigh, I turned to go back to my new home.

Once I got inside my mom told me to start unpacking things in my room. 'Why couldn't I have done that in the first place?' I asked but only in my head. I didn't say that out loud to avoid an argument.

But once I walked into my room I saw why. The mover guys put more furniture in my room that my mom bought not too long ago. The rest of the boxes that we couldn't fit in the car where now in here also.

"Okay." I said out loud while slapping my hands together. "Time to Danify this room." I bent down and opened the first box.
