The Successful Experiment

Chapter 9

nightmare:

I wake up in my cage once again, once i realize i am in my cage i jump up and look around with my eyes widen and my ears pinned to my head. I whimper when the door to my cage suddenly opens and i am jerked out by my tail, i look at who pulled me out but i can not see his face.

"i finally found you little rose"

My eyes widen, not from the voice but from the name, i have a name, just then reality came crashing down. My escape...it wasn't real, i begin to thrash around yelling out a name that i had come familiar with in the little time i was with him, even if it wasn't real.

"DARIAN!!! HELP ME!!"

I was quickly slapped on the face and told to shut up which i did quickly as the slap to the face was painful, i am pulled from the dark room and into a bright white room. In the center was a table with straps, i begin to tear at his arm screaming for Darian or fang to help me. The closer i get the table the more scared i become, I look to the man dragging me. He is smiling and when he opens his mouth i expect to hear him tell me to get on the table, but instead i hear Darian's voice,

"baby girl... wake up...come...on...wake up...come back....to me...please hun....time to wake up....its...a nightmare.."

end nightmare:

I feel myself shaking more as i thrash around till i suddenly open my eyes. Darian is in front of me with a worried, scared look on his face. He pulls me to him when he sees i am awake, i don't hesitate to latch onto him and begin to cry so hard i don't even notice that his parents were in the room. I feel him get onto the bed that i woke up on, i didn't give it to much thought as i was scared out of my mind. When he moves around again my grip tightens on him as i whimper, tears still streaming down my face.

"don't worry hun, i got you now. I wont let anyone else harm you."

He begins to hum softly while rubbing my back, i am not sure how long we were like that but i do know that i calmed down enough to fall back asleep after a while.

Darian's POV:

I look down at the sleeping girl in my arms before looking at my parents,

"we have to get the people that has done harm to these children, especially her"

My parents both nod before leaving the room, i look down to here and sigh as i rub her head "my little rose, that is what i will call you...until we know your name"

I slowly make my way down into a laying position careful to not wake her up, she still stirs a little though  so i pause before laying down fully, i pull the blanket over us and look at the clock on her nightstand, it reads 1 am. I kiss her head and mumble a goodnight before my eyes finally close for the night with worried thoughts i know i will not go into a deep sleep.
