A MAN SITS BEHIND A DESK, in front of his laptop when he hears the barking of a dog. He looked outside his window, but seen nothing. "Evan?" A woman enters the room and takes Evan Hudson's attention away from the window. "Are you spying on the neighbors?"
"No, I, uh, I thought I heard something in the yard, but it's nothing. You all ready to go?" Evan asks moving away from the window and leans against his office chair.
"You know, if I didn't know better, I'd say that you want me out of the house." She jokes.
"Of course not. It's just, you've — you've barely seen your sister since she had the baby." Evan makes up an excuse as he walks toward her. He knew what was gonna happen. "Well, what are you going to do all weekend?" She asks him.
"Uh, not much. I got some bills to pay." Evan lies and then looks at his wife and he sighs quietly before he beckons her over. He kisses her and then wrap her into a hug. "I'll miss you."
"You better." She teases him with a smile. "You know I love you, right? Forever." Evan tells her, pulling away.
"Of course. Evan, are you okay?" She asks her husband and he nods with an assuring smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Now get going." She nods and pulls him into a kiss before stepping away. "I'll call you when I get there." She tells him and he nods. She turns to leave. "Hey, sweetie," she turns back to him and when she does, her face morphed into something not human but then returns to normal, "I love you, too."
He was hallucinating.
THE DOORBELL RUNG AND EVAN left his desk and walked down his stairs. Opening the door, he revealed Sam and Dean, along with Bek.
"Hey, Evan. You ever been to a bar called Lloyd's?" Dean asks the man. "Would have been about ten years ago?" Evan slams the door in their faces. "Come on we're not demons!" Dean exclaims as they hear the lock turn. Sam and Bek look at Dean with unimpressed looks. "Any other bright ideas?" Asks Bek.
Dean kicks down the door. They run up the stairs and to a door, they assumed Evan was behind. Dean goes to kick it down but Sam stops him and opens the door. "Evan?" Bek calls out as she enters first. Evan jumps out. "Please! Don't hurt me."
"We're not gonna hurt you. We're here to help you." Sam assures him.
"We know all about the genius deal you made." Dean says, his voice filled with sarcasm.
