Chapter 6

Kat POV

Yesterday's sleepover was great! But now.... we have school again.... SHIT! But.... Peeta said that he'll take me on a date tonight! Yay!!! But seriously.... who goes out on Mondays? Oh well... It's better than no date at all. I woke up in the night, but as I was about to go back to sleep.... my freaking alarm comes and does it loud beeping noise!!!!! "Stupid!" I mumble under my breath. "I heard that!" Yelled Prim from outside my door. "Go away Prim!" I yelled at her. "I just wanted to see if you were up or not." She answers. "You don't have to be so rude!" She stormed back into her room and slammed the door. "Prim, it's not like that." I quietly shouted... Oh... what have I done? I get up, out of my bed, make it and brush my hair. I quickley brush my teeth so I don't have bad breath and I tip toe into Prim's room. "I know your there Katniss." She says under her pillow and blanket. "Prim, I'm sorry." I say to her as I sit on her bed. I try and give her a hug but it doesn't really work when she's wrapped in her blanket. "Will you please forgive me?" I ask. "Only if you give my one reason why I should." She replies. "'Cause I was in a cranky mood and I hate Monday's. In fact, I hate school." I explain to her. She take the pillow and a bit of the blanket off her face and smiles. "I forgive you." She says. I smile back and give her a hug. "I have to get ready for school now. And so do you, little duck." I tell her as I leave her room. After that I get dressed into a blue nike t-shirt and some denim shorts, with my blue converse. I put my hair in it's natural braid and I apply litte makeup to my face. I go donwstairs and make some toast. I quickly eat it and find Prim all dressed and ready for school today. "Aww, you look so pretty little duck." I complement her. "Thanks." She smiles and blushes. Prim's wearing a white t-shirt with a yellow duck on it saying "Quack! Quack!". The yellow duck has a pink bow on it's head. (The duck is not Daisy Duck. Just a bath duck thing with a bow on it's head) She is also wearing a pink short flowy skirt with flowers on it,, pink flats and a pink bow - headband thing- in her hair. Her hair is out and it falls almost down to her waist. Her shirt is tucked in to her skirt and she looks so pretty.

Soon there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it." I say getting up from the table. I open the door and I see Cato standing there. "Hey Cato." I greet him smiling. "Ready to go?" He asks. "Yeah. I'll just get my bag." I say before running upsatirs to get my bag. Soon I'm back in a flash and it was like I was still there. "Wow. That was fast." Smiles Cato.  "Let's go." I say to Cato. "Bye mum. Bye Little Duck. Remember Gale and Rory are going to get you Prim. Just text me if you need anything." I say as I'm walking out the door with Cato. "Bye Katniss." Prim says and I smile. Soon Cato and I start walking to school together, like every other school day. Soon as we are walking we see Gale and Rory drive past us. I smile and wave to be polite but Gale doesn't wave back. "I wonder what's wrong with Gale?" I ask Cato. "Maybe he's jealous of you and Peeta." He answers. "What?" I ask. "Gale is jealous of me and Peeta?" I restate. "Oops... I've said too much." Says Cato as he covers his mouth with his hand. "Cato? What else is there that you know and I need to know?" I ask suspicioulsy. "Um, nothing." Lies Cato. "Cato. Don't make me hurt you." I threatin him. "Ok, ok." He starts to spill. "Last night Gale and I were texting each other and he said that he likes you and he's jealous of you and Peeta and that he wanted to be Peeta and ask you out but Peeta got there first and now he said he won't talk to you anymorw...." Spilled Cato really fast. "Gale like me?" I question. "Mmm-hmm" Says Cato. "Please don't tell anyone Katniss...." Cato is about to cry.  "I won't but you will have to talk to Gale for me." I tell him. "Ok." Cato nods and we continue walking to school.

Prim POV

After Katniss left I finished my breakfast and watched some TV while I waited for Gale and Rory to get here. After about 5 minutes there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it!" I told mum. I opened the door and there stood Gale and Rory.... "Hey guys." I smile. "Hey." Pouts Gale. "What's wrong with him?" I ask Rory. "Nothing, he just had a bad morning." Explains Rory. "Ok." I reply. "Wow, Prim. You look... amazing!" Complements Rory. "Thanks. It's just some clothes I haven't worn in ages!" I tell them. "Ok you two, let's go." Says Gale as he walks to his car. "Bye mum!" I wave to my mum. "Bye sweetie! Gale will pick you up this arvo." She tells me as I shut the door behind me. Gale is already in his car waiting for us. Rory and I sit in the back and we buckle up and Gale drives us to school. After about 2 minutes or so I see Katniss and Cato. I wind down my window and see that they are kissing? Wait? Katniss and Cato are kissing? I wind my window up and whisper to Rory. "Did you see that?" He looks at them and nods. "Yeah..." Soon Gale parks outside the middle school. Rory and I get out and say bye to Gale. He drives off and we stand there looking at each other. "Prim?" Asks Rory. We start walking into the school. "Yeah?" I ask. "Do you like anyone?" He questions me. "Um, I don't really know." I answer. "How about you?" I ask. "Um, well, there is this one girl.... and she's in our grade and she has blonde hair and bluey greeny eyes." Rory explains. "What's her name." I ask. "That's classified information." He tells me as we walk to our lockers. The bell goes for homeroom and we go to homeroom. Soon our teacher arrives. "Sorry, I'm late students." She apologizes to the class. "Now, we have a new student in our class." Says the teacher. "Come in dear." She tells the child, who is outside the classroom. She has dark skin and frizzy hair. She wears a pink singlet with a black jacket over it and some black jeans with black flats. "What's your name sweetie?" Asks Miss. "Rue." The girl says quietly. She looks really shy. Aww.... "Ok Rue, take a seat next to Primrose there." Miss points to me. Rue walks over to me and Rory. She sits next to me and Rory is on the other side of me. "Hi, I'm Primrose Everdeen. But call me Prim." I say to Rue and I smile at her. "Rory Hawthorne." (A/N: Lol. I was gonna saw Hemsworth... Lolz. Soz.. Story...) Says Rory as he holds his hand out for Rue to shake it; which she does. Soon we three go off to class.
