Part 67

Tom: Wait I'll go with you.

Both of them go back inside and sit down. Tom sits a little bit further away from the others. They sit there for over four hours not saying a single word. They are just sitting there worrying about you. 

Doctor: Is anyone here for y/n Osterfield?

Everyone stands up and look at the doctor. 

Haz: Yes I'm her brother. How is she? Will she be ok?

Doctor: Her condition is critical. We don't know when or if she'll wake up. You can go and see her now if you'd like. 

They all follow her and stand in front of a couple of rooms. The doctor points at a room across the hall.

Doctor: Her room is right there. You can just go in. I have to go now.

She doesn't wait for an answer and just leaves. Nikki looks at Tom and Haz.

Nikki: I think you two should go in first.

Haz nods.

Haz: Yeah ok I think that's the best.

Tom looks down. 

Tom: I don't think I should go in. 

Haz: Come on mate I really think you should go.

Tom: Are you sure?

Haz: Yes come on now!

Tom: Ok...

Both of them go in and see you. you're lying on the bed not moving. You're not even breathing on your own. You're covered in bruises and scars and you're right leg is in a cast. Tom and Haz are just standing there for a while. Neither of them knows what to do. Haz tears up again. 

Haz: I-I can't do that. I can't see her like that. I need some fresh air. 

Tom looks after him and then back at you. He gets tears in his eyes again. He goes up to you and sits in a chair next to your bed. He takes your hand and cry's. He then kisses your hand and takes a deep breath.

Tom: Hey darling..

He looks at you for a while.

Tom: I'm sorry baby I didn't mean what I said. This is all my fault. I love you y/n! Please wake up y/n.. I need you!

You start to shake all of a sudden and your heart beats really fast. Tom gets up and not even a second later are doctors and nurses rushing in. 

Doctor: I'm sorry but you have to wait outside.

Tom starts crying even more.

Tom: No you have to help her. I can't leave her! Please baby wake up!

Doctor: Someone get him out of here!

A nurse goes up to him and puts one hand on his shoulder.

Nurse: Please go now. We do everything we can to help her. 

Tom: No I can't.. I can't leave her!

Nurse: There's nothing you can do for her right now. Please go outside and wait. You can go back to her soon ok? Please let us do our job now. 

Tom nods and then another nurse comes up to him and brings him outside. Tom falls to the ground crying. He then starts to mumble under tears. 

Tom: Wake up! Please wake up.. Please.. wake up!

Nikki just came back to see you but she sees Tom crying on the floor. She comes running up to him and hugs him tight. 

Nikki: Honey what happened? Is y/n alright?

Tom can't say anything. He can barely breathe. He just sits there and cry's in Nikkis arms. One of the nurses comes out after about fifteen minutes. 

Nikki: How is she? What happened?

Nurse: She had an epileptic seizure but she is stable now. You can go back in now if you'd like.

Nikki: I have one more questions.

The nurse was about to leave but turns around again. 

Nurse: Yes? 

Nikki: When will she wake up?

Nurse: We don't know when or if she wakes up. It depends on her. She needs to fight. You should just talk to her. She is in a coma but she hears everything you say.
