Upon arrival at the castle, Remus and Maelynn were confronted by Nashira and Lily who had caught sight of them entering the castle.
"Oh! There you are! We were looking for both of you," Lily said surprised. Remus nodded and Maelynn smiled awkwardly before speaking.
"Yeah...um, we were out for an early morning stroll. You know just trying to wake up after the excitement yesterday,"
In return, Nashira gave Maelynn a harsh glare, as if to say that she knew that last statement was a lie. Maelynn gave a desperate look back, they would be having a conversation about this later.
"Hey guys! Going to breakfast?" a squeaky voice said suddenly from behind them.
Everyone jumped slightly in fright, Maelynn whipped around and noticed that it was just Peter, Peter Pettigrew.
"Good morning, Peter. Where are James and Sirius?" Remus asked
"Just rolling out of bed, when I left," Peter replied.
"Hmm, typical," Maelynn said jokingly.
She then turned on her heel and walked into the great hall, with Remus on her tail. (E/N hehe tail get it?) (A/N animal puns lol sorry not sorry) The others followed and they all sat down. Eventually, Sirius and James join them, still half asleep.
"Well well, look what the cat dragged in. Doesn't seem like you two got enough beauty sleep huh?" Nashira, speaking for the first time today, decided to poke fun at the boys.
"This beautiful face needs more than eight hours of sleep!" Sirius exclaimed dramatically. Maelynn breaks out into laughter causing the group to look at her. Once she recovers from her brief laugh attack she speaks.
"What beauty? I've seen nifflers that look better than you,"
Sirius gave her an exasperated look, putting a hand to his chest in offense. Deciding not to bicker anymore Sirius and James sat down at the table with the others, all of them enjoying the rest of their morning together.
