Lost Memories

 ~ Chapter Nine~

The Queen of Darkness looked at her surroundings. Blank. Everything was blank. White. Weak. She wanted to tear them apart, everything. She wanted darkness to arrive over this bald place. There was no color, no light, no nothing. It was nothing. It was everything. It was good. It was bad. It was all. She whirled around to face someone who'd failed her. A six year old version of Lily chasing her sister, Olivia, while Moonlight played in the sand. "Gotcha!" Lily cried. Olivia laughed and started chasing Lily. "Play nice, girls!" Queen Crystal called from somewhere. "Be careful not to fall in the water!" Aunt Jenifer added. "We know!" Moonlily and Olivia chorused. They seemed to notice her for the first time. "Who are you?" Lily asked. "Come on, Lily! Aunt Jenifer said we have to play until they're done!" "I wonder what they're doing." Lily said. She and Olivia smiled at each other. "Let's go find out." They crept to the door, which was ajar, and peeked in. "There's some trouble across the world." Niagara was saying. "Um, yeah. Across the world. How is that going to-ooooooh." Jenifer realized, leaning back in her chair. "What exactly is this trouble, anyways?" Queen Flame asked. "We don't know. Just that it's dangerous and possessive. And it's great at playing mind games to trick you." "Oh, I do love a good party. Why wasn't I invited?" Another version of the Queen of Darkness asked. Crystal jumped up. "Stay away from our children." She growled. "Oh, I wouldn't dare hurt your kids - they're much more powerful than you think." The Queen of Darkness said, examining her nails. "Ugh. Just stay away from them!" Jenifer snapped. The Queen of Darkness vanished, leaving only the scent of ash and smoke in the air. Lily woke with a gasp. Moonlight stood in front of her, holding some sort of...crown. "Once I absorb all your willpower," She said, "you'll be my little puppet forever!" Anyone else think that she's gone a bit too far? Lily thought. Moonlight tapped a gem on the crown and a yellow mist, coming from Lily's forehead, was absorbed by the crown. Lily cried out in pain and tried to wrench it away but her memories disappeared with her will. "Eve," She gasped as all her memories of Eve disappeared. "Jenifer, Flame, Olive, Niagara, Olivia!" She held onto those memories the hardest but the crown was too strong. "Moon...Tsuki...Azure...Miri...Evera...Narcissa...Fire...aargh!" The last memories of her family disappeared and Lily collapsed. Moonlight cackled. There was a little voice in her mind, screaming, That's your sister! How could you do that to her!? And it was right. Moonlight gasped and her eyes turned back to normal as she stared at the crown in her hands. It was glowing silver and gold. The last shards of the emotion stone were fused to the crown forever. Her eyes turned black again and her head cleared. Lily groaned and pushed herself up. "W-where am I?" She asked, struggling to stand up. "You are in the water kingdom now." "W-what's the water kingdom? Who are you?" Lily whispered, stumbling to her feet, leaning on the bed. Hmm. The crown might have gone a bit too far with her memories. She doesn't even know who I am. "Moonlily, I need you to do something for me." "Moonlily?" Lily asked, tilting her head. "Who's Moonlily?"
