I woke up the next morning to someone's smooth, lean, yet muscular arm draped over me. I grew wide eyed and gently looked over my shoulder to see a shirtless Jareth snuggling into my back. I gently smiled at him and then suddenly a flash of what happened last night, the ball, the girls, the dance, the kiss, the blank stare, the fight, everything, and that put a blank stare on my face. I was quickly pulled out of my thoughts as Jareth groaned and pulled back down into his arms, "mmm more sleep (y/n), please just stay here with me," I heard him murmur in my hair. I turned to face him and was met once again with his stunning eyes fluttering open, begging me to stay in bed with him. "Alright your majesty," I told him with a sigh. I saw a smile form on his lips as he closed his eyes again and snuggle back into my shoulder. I smiled and laid my head on top of his spikey hair and closed my eyes again.

*TIMESKIP*

It was another two hours before Jareth and I woke up again, and the both of us decided that it was time to get up and get ready for the afternoon. I looked in my closet and decided on a black dress with red and silver embellishments. I was about to start getting changed when I felt someone's eyes on me. I turned to see Jareth laying in bed still, with his eyes glued to me. When he realized he was caught he gave me a toothy grin and got up, grabbed his clothes and left. I sighed and proceeded to change into the dress, brushed my hair, and cleaned my face and teeth in the bathroom.

When I was done, I made my way down to the dinning hall. Looking around I saw that Jareth had saved me a seat next to him, he looked up from his meal, saw me and smiled waving me over. I walked over and took my seat next to him. "You never cease to look beautiful (Y/N)," Jareth said leaning over to me. I felt my cheeks heat up once again and avoided eye contact. I heard him chuckle and then I remembered last night again, and I was curious about the girl and the blank face after I kissed him.

"Excuse me, um Jareth, could I talk to you about last night?" I asked gently. "Sure (Y/N) anything," he answered with a curious look on his face. "Well I was wondering who was that girl in purple, and also why did you look so cold and blank when I simply kissed your cheek?" I asked. He then looked up at me from his plate. He took hold of my hand and lead me out to the garden for another serious talk.

Jareth sat me down on the edge of the fountain, and took a deep sigh before he started explaining. "Well, I guess I should have seen something like this coming, you really don't forget anything do you (Y/N)?'' he said looking down at me. I simply shook my head no, which he replied with a chuckle. "I guess I will start with (w.e.n), she was once my fiancé, however I no longer want anything to do with her. After my incident with Sarah, I had decided to stop meddling with humans and find love here in my kingdom. I held a ball to help, and I thought that (w.e.n) was perfect when we first met, and then I proposed before I got to know the real (w.e.n). When I asked her to move into the castle, she and her family were ecstatic that she was moving to the castle. At first everything was going great, but slowly her true colors showed. She was demanding, she was cruel, she had no love in her heart for me, and she was only looking out for herself. I finally called off the marriage and kicked her out when she nearly death choked one of my goblins, just because he had spilled some dirt on her from the garden," Jareth explained with some anger held in his tone. "As for the kiss last night, I was not expecting something so sweet and innocent, yet kind and special, from a vision of beauty such as yourself. You are the only girl I have brought here that has stayed, gotten to know me, stand up for me, and mean so much by just being the sweet and amazing girl you are," Jareth said looking right into my eyes. He then bent down and took hold of my hands, "(Y/N), I know we haven't known each other long, but I can't deny the feelings I have for you, I love you," he said with his amazing smile. I blushed fiercely and looked at him with a bright smile, "Jareth, I think I love you too," I said never taking my eyes off of him. He then cupped my chin with his slender fingers and pulled me down into a sweet and gentle kiss.

Jareth and I pulled away with a smile plastered on both of our faces. He then took hold of my hand and pulled me to my feet and lead me back inside. When we finally came in all the goblins were gathered in the throne room, and cheered when they saw us come in hand-in-hand. We smiled and turned to give each other a small peck on the lips. When Jareth pulled away he whispered in my ear, "(Y/N) I promise that I will always be here to love you, and always protect you, no matter what." I simply hugged him and whispered back, "I promise to love you always and be a kind and caring friend and lover to you." Jareth lightly blushed as I said 'lover' and smiled in return. The rest of the day blew by and ended with Jareth and I falling asleep in the throne room with Dusty in Jareth's lap and Star in mine. Jareth did seem to be more of a cat person than a dog person. I fell asleep to Jareth having his free arm around me, with my head against his warm chest.
