Eliot POV

"Time check?" Dalton calls out.

"1 minute and 15 seconds" I respond. The mountain is at the very edge of the arena so it's taking a while to get there even though it's the closest border. We're running at full speed and we're only 3/4 there. This place is huge. I glance at Arion as he jumps up over a broken down car. The sun shines behind him, giving him dramatic effect. He looks over at me at the exact moment that his head covers the sun, I can see his perfect chiseled features. He smiles and i see everything around me slow down. He looks godly, the whiteness of the snow all around him, the sun behind him which causes it to look like it's radiating off of him, his genuine smile, his dimples. Everything perfect. Even the rubble and broken stuff around us fits him. He's like the god of destruction. Time speeds up to its normal speed and we keep running.

What the hell was that? My mind must be playing tricks on me. I shake my head as I mentally shove those thoughts away. There's $500,000 on the line, I can't be zoning out. Arion waves at me to catch up to him, he's not even running at his full capacity, he's basically jogging with us. Oh to have long legs. Against the wishes of my lazy short legs, I run harder. We get to the mountain and I turn to see where the twins are at. They're close but based on my math they only have 12 seconds left

"Faster you have 10 seconds and there are 2 snipers on your 6!" I warn them as I steady my gun onto my shoulder. Once the horn blares I'm gonna shoot them immediately, just incase.

I glance over at Arion and I see him pile up a bunch of snow and press it into his gun. I can see his breath in the wind from how cold it is.

He glances at me and smiles. A genuine smile. I look forward quickly in gay panic, I fumble with my gun for a few seconds. I feel blood rush to my cheeks and I feel my tummy flutter.

🚨—TARGETS ON—🚨

The horn snaps me out of my Arion-filled thoughts and I shoot at the 2 guys who try to shoot the twins. I miss one shot but quickly shoot and hit both of them.

That was a clean target... why did I miss?

"Whew that was close. You guys are mad quick" Marco say as he gets down in position to shoot anyone out in the open. We all do the same. We shoot about 20 people but after a while we're just waiting.

"There's no one else out in the open. Let's move into that area and move inward from there." Dalton says. He sounds like an army dude. I get up to walk in that direction but Arion grabs my arm and pushes me back down.

"No. We we're going into that 3-story house and shoot the people inside. If we don't, they will have the hawk eye advantage. Then we'll move in from there." Arion orders

Dalton crosses his arms and spreads his legs out a bit. Oh no. He's getting into a defensive stance. Arion doesn't even notice and grabs my gun and refills it with snow.

"We're a team" dalton starts

"I'd shoot you if we weren't" Arion responds. I grimace slightly, that's not really the best response, but at least he's honest.

"Guys calm down. Let's-"

"No, you know what. You have to listen to us and treat us like a team. We want to win too and we can't if you don't cooperate. I know your type. You're spoiled and think you're better than everyone." dalton states

"Can you be quiet. It suits you better. Let Marco do the talking. Especially when you don't know what your talking about. I worked for every damn thing I have. You might ask yourself why everyone does what I say without question, it's not because I'm rich, it's because I've built a reputation. A reputation that lets them know they shouldn't mess with me. It's up to them if they want to do it or die"
