Diary Entry Roku (6)
January 12, 1943
California
I have discarded my kimono and anything of Japanese origin. Except my katana. No matter, I keep my katana with me at all times. I've only been sent out to kill a few people who got in the way, or suspects us of anything out of the ordinary. Buhei has gone mad with power and his army grew in numbers. A sketchy man, and Japanese at that, heard about Buhei and his samurai. This man looked about his late 30s and had an aura similar to mine.
"Ah, so you are the famous Hiramatsu Buhei. The foreigner with the power of a Daimyo."
The man grinned from ear to ear sending shivers down my spine. He wore a dark grey hat that covered his eyes making his grin even worse.I was sitting next to Buhei, knee to knee, as I leaned towards him to whisper in his ear. "This man is giving me a bad feeling. His aura is like mine, a killers. A killer with no heart. No soul."
Buhei kept his eyes on the man and nodded at my remark. "Yes, it is I. The foreigner with the power to do as I wish."
"And I've heard you have samurai among you? Many of them."
"I do," Buhei answered, seeing where it was going, "And I don't intend on sharing."
"Oh no, I only wish to expand your samurai and make them better. Stronger. Faster. Advance in every way." The man lifted his head up slightly and looked straight at me. Those red blood eyes stared into my being. He knew what I was, because he was one too
."Make them better?"
"Yes, make them better. Make all those men like your friend here."
"Like my friend?"
Buhei glanced at me. I did not move a muscle as I stared at the man. "My men do not need your help." The man grinned and chuckled before speaking in a low and raspy voice, "Then let's put your men to the test. If your men pass the test I will leave you be, but... If they fail the test, I will train your men and take your friend here as my apprentice."
I wanted to speak up and refuse to do anything for this man but Buhei stopped me and spoke up.
"Fine. You have a deal."
---------
As ordered, I gathered our strongest warriors. Warriors I have trained myself personally. As mere mortals they were the best out of the best. The tests were simple agility, strength, and endurance tests. But in the final test, they had to face the strange man. I watched as each samurai went down one by one. Buhei was a fool, and he lost. Not only did this strange man take control of all the samurais, he ordered me to kill Buhei. In which I did. I killed my previous lord because he was weak. I came to know that the man's name was Tod, meaning death in German. For years I've been avoiding my power, my potential. He showed me my limits and my strengths. He brainwashed me. He created more and more warriors until he was a leader of the undead. 80% of the world's population is infected with the virus. Humans hide from us, fear us.
And I let it happen.
I let it happen because I was mad with blood lust and power.
It felt good to be bad.
