Y/n's POV:
I opened up the door to see someone sitting on a chair; turned around so that I couldn't see their face.
"Uhh... hey... I'm the newest employee here," I began. He turned around. He had dark brown curly locks and deep ocean blue eyes.
"I swear I've seen that face somewhere," I thought, though I couldn't decipher who he looked like. He then stood up from his chair.
"Ah, yes. You must be y/n," he said, approaching me. He had a soothing voice; it was a strong British accent.
"His voice sounds so familiar... why do I feel like I've met him before?" I wondered. The uncertainty was killing me.
"If you don't mind... would you mind telling me your name?" I asked.
"Yes, my name is-"
RING RING RING
My eyes fluttered open. My alarm was blasting in my ear, like always.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me," I muttered with frustration. I had just had the same dream that I was having for the past week or so.
I was starting my new job today that I couldn't screw up because I was nineteen years old and needed to move out of the house soon. I just kept telling myself that the only reason that I was having this recurring dream was out of fear of messing this job up. But I couldn't help but feel like there was some meaning behind it.
I sighed. I got out of bed and started getting ready for my first day, well, actually night in the late evening at Circus Baby's Pizza World. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too difficult.
But regardless of how easy I told myself the job would be, I was still scared out of my mind. Surely everything would be fine, but for some reason, I was just... scared. Maybe it was because I was afraid of doing a bad job?
But what I didn't know was that "doing a bad job" would soon be the least of my problems.
Michael's POV:
"Michael! Michael, wake up!"
I groaned at the sound of my father's angry voice. "Why won't that jerk ever just let me sleep past eight in the morning. I never get any sleep," I thought furiously.
"Alright, alright, I'm coming dad!" I yelled back from my room.
I sat up in my bed and yawned. After getting dressed and ready for the day, I headed for the kitchen to see my father sipping his coffee.
"Morning dad," I muttered under my breath.
"Good morning, Michael. Did you get enough sleep for once?" He answered.
"Well, what do you think? My shift ends at six, I only got two hours of sleep," I thought.
"Yes, absolutely. I slept great," I groaned sarcastically. I headed to get myself a cup of coffee as well.
"Well, I sure hope so, considering you're going to be heading into work early today," he said. I almost choked on my steaming hot coffee.
"What?"
"You heard me. You're going into work early," he repeated.
"But why? My shift starts at midnight," I argued.
"There's a new employee who you'll need to show around. You need to teach her everything she needs to know since her shift starts tonight with you. Her name is y/n."
