Michael's POV:
Y/n fidgeted with her fingers a little once we were in the elevator. I looked down at her hands and put my arm around her to distract her.
"Chill, y/n. We'll be fine," I said.
"What do you mean?" She asked, looking up at me.
"You seem nervous."
"Pfft, I'm not nervous," She scoffed. "I told you, I'm super excited." I shook my head, smiling. Shortly after, I heard a voice. It was HandUnit.
"Welcome to the first day of your exciting new career," it said.
Y/n seemed to be zoning out for a bit while it continued talking until I pressed a button in front of me that made a keyboard appear.
"Just type your name in here," I instructed her. "But be careful because once you type it in you can't change it. I learned that when it made my name Eggs Benedict." She started laughing. "Eggs Benedict?"
I nodded with embarrassment and frustration.
"Man, that's great. Can you not type or something?" She mocked.
"Oh, shut up. Just type your name."
She stepped forward to start typing her name, clearly struggling.
"And you say I'm the one who can't type," I mocked.
"Shut up, Eggs Benedict," she chided.
"It seems that you are having trouble with the keypad," HandUnit began. "I see what you were trying to type, and I will autocorrect it for you." It then paused for a moment.
"Welcome, Sunny Side Up."
"Dammit!" She cursed. I burst out laughing.
"Oh, come on! It's not that funny!" She protested.
"Are you kidding? It's freaking hilarious!" I persisted. She rolled her eyes.
"Whatever," She huffed. Suddenly the elevator came to a stop. Once I was finally able to catch my breath I gestured for her to follow me out. I led her to a dark, large vent.
"Are we supposed to go in there?" She hesitated. I could hear fear in her voice.
"Yeah. What's the matter? You scared?" I teased.
"Pfft. I don't get scared," she said. I chuckled a little.
"Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you," I reassured her, getting down on the floor to crawl into the vent.
"Are you saying that something bad... might happen?" She questioned. I turned around and raised an eyebrow. I could tell that she was obviously nervous.
"What makes you ask?"
"N-nevermind," She looked away, frustrated. I laughed a little again.
"C'mon. Let's go." She got down too and followed me.
"Geez, my claustrophobia is kicking in," She complained after we had been in the vents for a while.
"We're almost there, don't worry," I said. Once we reached the end of the vent I put out my hand to help her up. She held it and I pulled her up.
"So all you really have to do is check up on the animatronics," I said.
I first led her to Ballora's stage. I pressed a blue button in front of us to turn on the light for her stage. She wasn't there.
"Where is she?" She asked.
"Press this red button right here," I coached, pointing to the red button in front of us. "This button right here shocks her. It should bring her back to her stage. Then press the blue button to turn on the light and see if she's there." She reached over and hesitantly pressed the button. She jumped slightly at the noise it made, but Ballora appeared on her stage.
