Chapter 14

Y/n's POV:

 Michael and I both looked up at her with surprise. Now I understood why her eyes had suddenly changed to green; it was because Elizabeth's eyes were green. Does that possibly mean that Elizabeth did have some control over her still?

"Eli...?" Michael whispered quietly.

"Gosh, dang it, you stupid robot!" I heard a voice yell. Surprisingly enough it also sounded like Elizabeth's voice; but it wasn't coming from Circus Baby. It was coming from behind the stage. To my surprise, I saw Elizabeth herself walk out from behind the curtains, and up to Circus Baby. Once she was right next to us, she smacked Baby's hand, the one that Michael had grabbed onto. Circus Baby's eye color suddenly changed back to blue. Elizabeth looked up at us.

"Sorry about that, it's just that because I possessed her she learned how to imitate my voice and eye color so that-"

Michael stopped her by leaning down and giving her a hug.

"My gosh, Eli... I can't believe it's really you!" he exclaimed. "After so long, I finally found you. You're not dead... I can't believe it... I've missed you so much." Elizabeth hugged him back.

"I've missed you too, Michael," she said. "Listen, I'm sorry about everything that's happened to you. I didn't have control over Baby. I tried to stop her from telling you to do all the things that she told you to do, but I couldn't stop her. I just didn't have any control. I'm really sorry, Michael."

"It's okay, Eli," Michael reassured her. "But how are you here? I thought you were trapped inside of her?"

"Well, someone programmed Baby to be able to set me free," she explained. "I was excited about it at first, but then once I found out that I'd need to hurt you by scooping you in the process, I didn't want to do it. I'm sorry, Michael."

"Are you kidding? You don't need to apologize!" he exclaimed. "It was worth it! It was so worth it! I get to be with you again!"

"Thanks for not being mad," she said, smiling.

"Of course I'm not mad," Michael said. "I'm happier than I could ever be."

After a moment Elizabeth turned and looked up at me, her smile growing even wider.

"And you brought y/n!" she exclaimed.

"He sure did," I said. She walked over to me and gave me a hug too. I hugged her back with a smile spread across my face. Once we pulled away I took a moment to admire how much she had grown over the years.

"Gosh, Eli, you're so grown up now. You're so tall! You're nearly up to my shoulder! Last time I saw you, you were barely up to my waist," I noticed. "You've become so pretty over the years."

"Are you saying I wasn't pretty before?" she teased.

"No, that's not what I'm saying!" I retorted. "You're just so grown up now."

"I know. I'm just kidding," she giggled. She then looked back up at Michael and me and asked, "Are you two dating now?"

"No no no, we're not... we're only... we're just best friends,"I stammered, blushing a bit.

"You'd think that after years of knowing each other, you two would finally realize the truth about each other," Elizabeth groaned.

"Geez, you've just seen us for the first time in years, and this is one of the first things that you've got to say to us?" Michael said, walking over to me and resting his elbow on my shoulder.

"What? It's true."

"Hey, Eli, I've got a question," I spoke up,

"What is it?"
